I didn't want to revive this thread, but I have some additional info to add to the topic.
Japan has released 13 DVD volumes of the PPG episodes, up to episode 49, plus the two "What a Cartoon!" specials, "Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins" and "Crime 101." And the great news is that they have the English language option available! Unfortunately, you need a region 2 DVD-player (used in Japan and the UK) or all-region player to play the discs, which you'd have to slap down about $150 bucks for if you don't live in those places.=/
