Post in the fanart threads if they have been untouched for over one (1) month.
Please abide by all rules and life will be truly happy indeed :D

And in case it wasn't clear, if you break any three rules, you will be banned. Ignorance is no excuse, the rules aren't hard to follow, so for Christ's sake, read, comprehend, and abide by them. I'm really sick of banning people for stupid rule breaking.

What is hotlinking? Why can't I link images from other websites?
Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a website's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an IMG tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, journal, weblog, forum posting, etc.

Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred from a website to a user's computer. When you view a webpage, you are using that site's data transfer to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over it's monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.

A simple analogy for bandwidth theft: Imagine a random stranger plugging into your electrical outlets, using your electricity without your consent, and you paying for it.

Fortunately, there are sites like ImageShack that donate lots and lots of bandwidth to allow you to link images from their site for free.

It is permitted to provide a text hyperlink to an image on another site using the URL tags. However, I would prefer it if you used an image hosting service instead.

How do I get an avatar?
Go to Profile, scroll down to the "Avatar control panel," attach the file, and voila. Hooray for you. The file must be 125 x 150 or less.

How do I attach a file?
Click "post reply" (or "new thread" if you're starting a fanart thread), scroll down to the "Options" section and you'll see "Image Hosting by ImageShack.us" window. Click "Browse" and locate the file from there. Clich "host it!" and another window will popup. Copy the first line "Hotlink for forums (1)" and close the window. Paste that string into your message.

Can I get my own fanart page?
Not at this time. When the website was young, I had more time to keep up with the artwork. Please use the forums to display your artwork.

Can I get access to the Mature section?
Yes, but you must prove you are at least 18 years of age or older. Please send me a PM or e-mail for more information.

What does "armchair modding" mean?
It means you have taken it upon yourself to chastize another user for their mistake in a tone that is reserved for Moderators and Admins. It's fine to give helpful advice when asked. It's also fine to PM the person or a Mod to report an issue. However, if you aren't a mod, don't tell them what to do.

How can I view the latest messages in a thread since my last visit?
A new thread will have a small icon right before the title that will look something like this: If you click it, it will bring you to the first new message in the thread. This icon seen in the last column of a thread: will take you to the last post of the thread.

Someone insulted me! I want you to ban him/her!
We expect everyone to act respectfully toward each other. However, the Internet is NOT serious business. Save the drama for MySpace.
