One of the things that made the Powerpuff Girls so popular (and gives the show its staying power) is its Freudian aspects. Those of you who Don't know what "Freudian" meens - DON'T ASK 'cause I'm not going to tell you (either you should know by now or you should figure it out on your own ).
Case in point: The premise of the show ITSELF is Freudian. You have 3 "kindergarden" aged girls - a doding adoring father figure (Prof. Utonium) - a big house w/ all the toys they could ever want - w/ NO MOTHER! Tell me if that isn't the ultimate Electra fantasy?
What do you all's think? |
