Five stars? Absolutely. No other episode has sparked the imagination of its fans more than "The RowdyRuff Boys." It seems as if almost every fanfic involves the RRBs in some shape or form. The boys have taken on a cult following within the realm of PPG fandom.
But let's not dwell on its side effects; let's focus on what makes this episode so memorable. For one, it has the best fighting/action scenes of any of the PPGs episodes. The battle between the PPGs and RRBs is incredibly animated and choreographed. Only "Uh Oh Dynamo" and "Three Girls and a Monster" come close.
The characterizations of the boys are dead on. Sure, their personalities aren't developed very well, but their "male tendencies" are revealed in clever ways. The high fiving, dumping Gatorade on Mojo, the, uh...end result of burritos. These are all things little boys would do in real life.
No other villain has come as close to defeating the PPGs. You could even argue that the girls were defeated by the RRBs. I know, perish the thought. We wouldn't want to do irreparable damage to the self-esteem of an entire generation of young girls, now would we?
What I found the most refreshing about this episode is that it didn't end in a draw, nor did the girls physically overpower the boys. The girls won in the end by being "nice" to the RRBs. I have a four year old niece and I have personally seen her playfully flirt with little boys. I can tell you with absolute honesty that the reaction of those little boys were the same as the RRBs. Well...they didn't explode, but you should have seen the look of fear in their eyes!
Complaints? One major one: "crap" instead of chemical x? Are you kidding? What the heck is up with that? Oh well, at least it gave me a way to explain in my fanfic why the boys were so evil in this episode.
I don't know if Craig is ever going to bring the boys back in another episode officially. If he does, I hope it's done well.
FIVE STARS

I gotta hand it to this eppie, that from the first time I saw it (in 1999, I think), I already wished for a return, but as heroes rather as enemies (hey, what kind of RRB fan wouldn't). And in 2004, I heard of RR.net, and I already joined, reviving my RRB fandom.
Curiosity: Why didn't Buttercup blow up, too, if she didn't like the kiss either?
Boys, what would we do without you? |

She didn't blow up because she wasn't made of the same unstable mixture that the boys were made of. |

| I used to like this ep, especially the struggle between the two parties. The ep bored me greatly when I rewatched it a while later though. |

| This episode really started it for me. The rowdyruff boys were just so "cute". The kissing-blowing up part, made me giggle while I was remembering that hole "Cooties" thing back in Elementary. |

Ok. In this Episode, when mojo create the RRB, and also when the RRB fight Vs the PPG... and the powerpuff girls are defeated thanks to the RRB. It (mean) or indicate that the RRB are most poweful and betters, because they defeated the PPG with theirs powers and theirs forces, and the PPG won this fight having luck (whit a kiss only), but the true is it: RRB won thanks to theirs powers, and the powerpuff girsl lose because they are weaks, then... in the end of this episode, the PPG win thanks to a kiss. but they can't win to the RRB fighting. only with a kiss the RRB can be defeated.
sorry my english language, only i hope and wish that you can understand my commentary. |

| This will always be my favourite episode, i loved it when the RRB used their group special "Ballistics Barrage" and the drum solo made it more powerful... reminded me of Dragonball Z fighting |

| A cool spinoff would be if the RRB's actually liked being kissed. |

sorry my english language, only i hope and wish that you can understand my commentary. In other words, The Girls may be overpowered by the Boys in strength, but will always beat them in the wits department.
I used to like the show, but now I only watch it because if this highest-rated episode. Now I hope the make it in the new TV show (you know which). |

You may call it an impossible, but who knows, maybe CN may take that account when they decide to make more PPG episodes. |

| That'll probably never happen. It seems nowadays CN likes discontinuing any good cartoons they had going for them and replacing them with less intelligent bullsh*t like Juniper Lee and Krypto the motherf*cking superdog. |
