Here are the old forum's statistics...
I highlighted the sections that contained 5% or more of the threads and/or posts.
Some sections are expected to be used infrequently. The Announcements section, Mods/Admins only section, Newbie section, Episode section, and spamming section all serve a purpose. They are used to seperate messsages that would dilute (or be diluted) if they were mixed with other sections.
The rest of the sections were ripe for assimilation. Fan Fiction (PpG and Non-PpG) and Role Playing were combined. Requests and C&C are now simply done in the respective artwork sections. Art discussion should go in General. Everything else not accounted for goes under General Discussion now.
PHPBB doesn't do attachments by default. The next revision does. However, I don't need to donate any bandwidth for posting artwork since ImageShack is willing to do it for free. Thus, I hacked the forum to display the ImageShack hosting prompt.
Just about all of the old smilies are gone. Most of them were never used. The ones we have now should be sufficient. Want to insert your own? Use ImageShack.
I am going to try an experiment... From this point forward, there is no limit for reviving a thread except in the Artwork forums. Those will have a one month limit. I chose a month because it's easy to calculate without using a calendar. This rule is subject to change (and probably will.)
Mods are in charge of all areas. I could configure the forum so certain people have mod rights only in some areas. Too complicated and it's unnecessary. |
