| Well, their new album was released on 6/6/06, and I think it's an ok cd. My cousin on the other hand says they're stupid now and that they are trying too hard to be metal. I think they still sound cool. But at the same time, I would say their old stuff was better. What would you say? |

| AFI has a lot of old stuff that's good. My sister loves it, but their new CD isn't bad. I've listened to one or two old songs, it's a strange kinda transition. Seems like they've given up a little on the screaming that they used to do constantly. We'll see, I don't really know. |

| I've only heard their song 'Miss Murder'. It's all right I guess, a little different from what I'm used to and now it's starting to get annoying. What with my brother singing it and looking for music videos and live performances of it every time he goes on the computer. |

AHah, (Hed) pe's new album "Back to Base X" came out that day too...so that would take the cake with no competition whatsoever.
I haven't heard the new stuff, but judging by their older albums, I don't think i'd like it. |

I of course have to come to claim a burning hatred towards anything and everything AFI. Their new video with Davey Havok playing the role of "Girl Hitler" or something can suck it too.
AFI trying to be metal? I suppose that claim may be due to Havok's little screamo-attempt in Miss Murder. I however, shall ease your minds by stating that AFI remains as far away from a Heavy Metal influence as James Blunt.
Listen to Dragonforce. |

oh dear god, "Dragonforce"
If there's such a thing as "airbrush" metal...Dragonforce would be its leading band
hahahah

| Airbrush metal? You mean metal that's about the spraying of a poorly drawn image of Tupac Shakur on an over-sized white t-shirt? Or perhaps you mean metal about covering up ones scars and acne in a photo-manipulation program such as Adobe Photoshop? |

The second one.
Hehe, I bought their album, Inhuman Rampage. I assume you have it to. You totally understand my point, correct?
Aside from that, musically they're insane. But no matter how fast they play...there's something comical about them |

Well, I dunno about photo-manipulation, but they sure do sing about riding. Those M F'ers love to ride...
And I should probably now mention that I'm missing your meaning totally and completely. |

Hehe, well...almost every picture in their liner notes (with the exception of the collage of photos), they look like they're glowing. Soething only 10 000 layers of manipulation in photoshop could achieve.
As for the comical part of them...what, you do't hear it? I listen to them and laugh cause it's just "soo" out there. As in out of this world |

| Out there? Power metal lyrics are just that cheesey in general. Dragonforce is of course gonna say they're a big joke because they're in the public eye now, and every teeny bopper myspace emo douche is going to make fun of their lyrics. The truth of the matter is, no one is going to put that much effort instrumentally into a band that's a huge joke. |
