Are'nt you accessible to the Internet?

If I didn't know they exsisted and I never even heard of them before, why would I type in 'Powerpunk Girls' in a search bar?

As far as I know, there was only one comic of the PowerPunk Girls. Issue #50 entitled “Deja View.” I also heard it was suppose to be an episode, but for some reason, didn’t receive airtime or even get animated. I ordered the comic, expecting a great story line, but I was disappointed.

Mini Review:
(Warning, Spoiler alert)

The girls are happily cleaning their room, when Bubbles comes across a spot on the mirror. She rubs it, but only discovers that it didn’t come off. Buttercup tells her to rub harder, so she rubs and rubs and rubs some more. After she’s done, she proudly announces “There we go! All done!” But in the place of the mirror is some sort of portal / vortex. The girls get sucked in, and come face to face with Jomo (The good version of Mojo.)

He accuses them of being the PowerPunk girls, and they eventually convince them that their the PowerPUFF girls. Here to save the day! Meanwhile, the PowerPunk girls are in the Powerpuff’s world. It only shows them in a few scenes, destroying the city out of fun.

The Powerpuff girls stay in the backwards universe to defeat Professor Plutonium. (The bad version of Professor Utonium.) Because supposedly without Plutonium, the PowerPunk girls are lost on what to do. (And excuse me, but wtf? Stupid!) So they get Plutonium tied up, and they go home through a vortex that the good versions of The Ameba Boys and Fuzzy Lumpkins created. (They were not given names.)

After exiting the vortex, they come face to face with the Powerpunk girls. Berserk, Brat, and Brute. They begin a miniature fight, and it is obvious that the Powerpunks are stronger then the Powerpuffs. Knowing that they cant beat them, they trick them back into the vortex. The Powerpunk girls are last seen face to face with Jomo, with a gun in his hand, and Professor Plutonium tied up in the background.

So once again the- … Yadda, yadda yadda.

Like I said, I was disappointed. First of all, they introduce these awesome looking characters that are obviously stronger and better then the PPG’s, and they barley give them 4-5 pages of the comic. When new characters are introduced like this, I want to learn more about them, their personality, and powers. All the book gave me was that they were evil. Well… Duh! I was also disappointed at the ending. I wanted to see a big fight but all I saw was the PPG’s getting hit a few times by the PPnkG’s, and then whining on how much it hurt. That’s when Blossom tricks them back into the vortex. Pttthh… Nice thinking Blossom. Very predictable. And I don’t understand why it was so important for the PPG’s to defeat Professor Plutonium. Even with him tied up, the PPnkG’s could still kick ass. … Stupid.

But anyway, if it was ever a possibility for the Powerpuff Girls to return to TV with new episodes, I would LOVE for Craig to re-write this comic, and produce it into a cartoon where it should have been in the first place.

Thank you. I always wanted to know how the story went. It's a shame it was written that way.

Why the heck are the Powerpunks stronger? Why wouldn't they be evenly matched with the Powerpuffs since they're from a parallel universe? Besides, they already covered the "superhero overcoming an even more powerful enemy" bit with the Rowdyruffs. This story should have been based on the old "superhero defeating his/her evil clone by exploiting the minor differences" chestnut. You know, it's like K.I.T.T. vs. C.A.R.R., not K.I.T.T. vs. Goliath. (80s fag in da house!)

Yes I too remember that comic. I thought Brat was CUTE!! Mischievous, but cute - even more so than Bubbles IMHO.

They should do that,"superhero defeating his/her evil clone by exploiting the minor differences". Is less predictable and would make a more better story. We already have that with the RRB. The last thing we need is another batch of the same thing except they're girls.

And in my opinion, it gives out to kids that evil is always going to be more powerful than good, considering how the PPnkG and RRB kicked the PPG's asses. We can understand the RRB, as they're male and all, and guys are automatically stronger, but with the PPG's parallel selves only to have them stronger?

I think the comic didn't even really planned this so much as to what the plot or what the story is going to go. It was just like, hey, there's these PPnkG, whadda ya know?

It shows as the story makes no sense.

Still, what a waste of characters. They should've learned by now that the "Doppelgangers of the main characters fights" are, almost always, an assured win.

It's too bad that we never get the episode too. However, like KM already stated, they were making the movie and they lacked time. :x

I think the whole "Punks are lost without their creator" idea was flawed from the start.

Halfway through, the Puffs bust in on Plutonium. He mistakes them to be the Powerpunks and says: "I was wondering when you'd try and overthrow me today". So much for family bonding, eh?

I think the Puffs would be more lost without Utonium than the Punks would be with their creator.

Exactly!! Oh! By the way, while browsing Deviant ART, I came across an interesting picture. (Not made by me!!)

You know, as much as this might cause a debate, I think the Rowdyruff’s and these certain girls make a much better couple….

PS: Asis, I love your signature.

I can actually agree with that, these couples are more evenly matched than the one we usually see. Besides, I think bad guys like the Ruffs would probably be more attracted to bad girls than good girls in the first place.
