The ring was a dismal place, surrounded by a cage and a guard rail. Objects were caught within the cage, weapons from past battles, blood stains, and even pieces of skin hung from the tattered old cage. Outside the crowd cheered aggresively, just awaiting for some kind of action to take place within the ring, and hoping to see another death.
Within the ring, a man stood almost petrified. Even though he was undefeated, you had to be in this league for losing meant death, his opponent was more than a willing killer. The petrified man stood at 6'3" with a shaved head, brown eyes and a large scar going down from his left eye all the way do to his chin. His muscles ripped angrily at his shirt, several holes along the front revealing tan sweating skin. He wore gloves on his hands, just as his combatant did, except his combatant was much diffrent.
Not a single scar on him he kept his back towards the other man in the ring with him, his hands clenching the rings of the cage. His blonde hair fell down to his knees with bangs than hung down all the way to his chest, parted in front of his face to show his emerald green eyes. He stood with a smirk on his face before turning to his opponent wearing golden platemail. It was tightly wrapped but moved better than expeceted or imagined. The crowd screamed and growled and even a small fight had arrupted that went unnoticed or cared because the two in the ring demanded all the attention.
"Listen," the blonde haired man said turning and walking to the middle of the ring to meet his opponent. "You're going to die today." The man stood there almost petrified looking down into the eyes of the blonde haired man, completely aware of what he was saying. "What is your name?"
"They call me Tank." He said, his voice slightly raspy.
"I'm Seven." He replied as the ring bell run and Tank quickly retreated to his side of the ring, retriving a baseball bat wrapped in razor wire. His swings were feirce, but lazy and should have been more thoughtout. It was true that when swinging a weapon like that, one should not have to be that careful because most would turn and run... Not Seven.
He reached down to his side and drew his short sword, his default weapon. Instantly as the bad came towards him it slammed against his chest, the platemail deflecting it not leaving even a single scratch on the mail. The bat came at Seven vertically now as he rolled to the side and continued running towards the cage. The bat broke the ring canvas and was instantly stuck as Seven assended the cage with his feet, reaching the top and kicking off the top steel bar.
Twisting through the air he held his short sword by his left leg and quickly landed next to Tank, ripping his sword upwards into the mans arm before twisting around and cutting his left arm as well. Dropping low he slid the blade across the man's achilles tendon before he fell backwards screaming in pain. Seven stood above him, flicking his short sword outawrds to get rid of anyblood that may have been left.
"Now you die." Seven said simply, expressionless. He drew a small throwing knife from his leg and hurled it downwards into the man's eye. A yellow puss dripped out before he convulsed slightly and then remained motionless. Quickly Seven dropped to one knee and took the throwing knife, then wiped it on his shirt. He replaced it back to the strap along with other wrapped around his leg and turned to the referee. "We're done here." The crowd cheered frantically before the dead man in the ring as the medics ran in to pronounce the man dead. That was his eighty-seventh match, all undefeated and untouched.
"CONGRATS SEVEN!" The leader of Seven's guild ran fowards and began to shake his hand frantically. Seven hardly paid attention, but only to the television that was reporting on something that had been happening that had the entire world on alert.
"Shut up." Seven said turning and walking over to the bar watching closely as a new caster came on with a very stern look on his face.
"It seems that we are currently under attack." He said, pausing between his sentences for dramatic effect. "A small band of what we have begun to call "Bandits" has been spotted today in East City, New York. They have formed a small group of people, eight as far as we are told, and right now we currently have no clues as to who seven of the eight are. One name we have been given, it has been carved into bodies, sidewalks, cars, and buildings. The name we have recieved, is Demos."
Seven's eyes buldged slightly as a small picture became enlarged and slightly blurred to show Demos standing stall with Soul Eater over his shoulder. His blonde hair fell over his blindfold slightly and now behind him Seven began to slowly name off people. Hades... Seven instantly stormed out of the bar and turned into the alley on the side were a couple were begining to get intimate.
"Hey, get outta here you jackass." The man said as Seven rose one hand, the darkness of the area swirling around it forming a rather large spiked gauntlet. He backhanded the man, blood pouring from his face before Seven walked up and stomped on the back of his head. The woman screamed buttoning up her blouse and running at one look by Seven.
The darkness swirled downwards as he crotched to the ground and it surrounded him, his surroundings dissapearing instantly. Rather the streets of India, were to the left and right of him as he stood before an alleyway, the gates of hell in front of him.
Hades was there to great him at the bottom of the long staircase, a large grin upon his face as he stood tall. His normal tan skin, his long black hair, brown eyes, and his robe he still wore. He acted as if nothing were wrong, as if he hadn't breached their deal.
"What the fuck are you up to Hades?" Seven growled angrily.
"What?" he laughed.
"Don't act like you don't know what i'm talking about... Shade, Qiao, Zora, Rako, Nero, Striker, and Slate! ALL OF THEM HAPPEN TO BE FOLLOWING DEMOS NOW!" Seven's temper was bad when provoked, and now he wasn't in the mood to deal with Hades' tricks.
"Ah, that. That could just be coincidence, how do you know it was me?" Hades asked, crosing his arms over his chest.
"They were all dead. ALL KILLED BY ME OR HAVING GRUDGES WITH ME!" Seven hollered. "YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE WITH THE POWER TO BRING THEM BACK! NOW! TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE PLANNING!"
"I am not planning anything, but kill counts are low as of today and I figured it'd be a nice little balancer." Hades laughed, but Seven was not amused. "Look, I just figured i'd... Spice things up a little ya know?"
"No... I don't know." Seven growled at him. "Trust me, if I get sent here for the rest of eternity, because I DON'T have Demos' soul... You're going to be living in a nightmare."
"Don't talk to me like that." Hades growled, his voice becomming threatening. "I have more power than you can understand, we'll see how long you last."
"It wouldn't be the first time you were defeated." Seven snarled, Hades' smile turning to a sneer.
"Forgot about him didn't you? The one who beat you in the arena." Seven laughed wildly, raising his eyebrow very proud of himself.
"You listen you little twerp, I could-" Hades yelled.
"You could what?" Seven interupted him as the tension began to grow. "I've given you more than enough souls, and trust me I could take them back Hades. I can take back every soul i've ever given you." Seven touched his left hand and began to take off his glove before Hades turned towards his office type area. From a desk he pulled a small piece of paper. Seven simply pulled his glove back down over his hand before he leaned against one of the walls of hell.
"I knew you'd be back." Hades said. "I have a list for you actually." Seven was intrigued and walked fowards, taking the piece of paper quickly with a large list of names on them and where to find them.
"How do I know they'll join me?" Seven asked him.
"I'm Hades, kid. I've got whatever information you want." He snapped his fingers as a file-cabinet appeared, drawing several files and handing them to Seven. "That will be all you need to get them on your side. Hell, the first guy on there all you have to do is tell him you're Forsaken and he'll jump on the bandwagon in an instant. As far as I know, he's right here in India somewhere." Seven looked down at the piece of paper and then to the first file to see what Hades was talking about, soon realizing his mistake.
"Oh..." Seven said, staring at the small photo attached to the file. "The Fallen one... Interesting." |

((For the record, what i'm about to do is completely for comedic purposes. I have no real opinions on anything of the sort and don't really care whether you do or not. If you don't like what i have to say and want to bitch and complain about it... then i have one thing to say that all other people in this situation should say "Fuck you. It's my opinions. Let me believe what i want to believe. Live your own life. Stay outta mine. Get the hell over it."... That is all...))
"Time to get the fuck outta India. Head back to the United States. Tired of this place anyway." I thought, walking out of the town i was in and uncasing my angelic white wings from the trench coat i was wearing and lifting off to feel the beautiful air on my face. It wasn't as long of a flight as i thought it would be.
I landed outside a bar in New York, and from the inside i heard the news going off about someone who had been terrorizing a city just north of where i was. The reporters said his name was Demos. I brushed it off and sat down on the curb outside the bar, not worrying about the affairs of mortals. I reached into my coat and pulled something out.
I mumbled a couple curses as i stared darkly at the note that i had kept with me ever since i was sent down to this plane of existance. It read: “You will keep your wings and your halo, although it’s broken now. Keep your sword. You are now mortal. Age does not affect you but you can die, same as any other mortal. If you do die, I’ll be waiting at the gates with the final three words of the argument: 'Go to Hell.'"
"Go to hell? He can go to hell. Stupid God. Bastard. Fuck him. He can suck my di--"
"Have you found God, sir?" a sweet voice echoed through my ears. I looked up to see a woman dressed in a black tunic with the white and black habit on. Of all the people to talk to me... it had to be a nun.
"Excuse me?" i asked looking up at her.
"Have you found god?" she repeated.
I laughed a bit. "What if i were to tell you there is no 'omnipotent' or 'omnibenevolent' god?"
"Then i would say that you need to find god more than you know. What on earth would make you say that?" The nun replied.
I smiled up at her. It was then that i realized what i should be doing with my time spent on earth. God wanted to fuck me over and get the last words of our argument by telling me to "Go To Hell" when or if i die. But let's say that i get one up on him. I'm to live my life as a mortal, therefore, i can have mortal sins. And the more mortal sins i have on my soul, the closer to Hell i get, and the closer to hell i get, the more likely i am to go there straight away, taking away God's ability to get the last words.
"Well," i said thinking to myself "i guess it's time for me to start off this "sinning" thing."
I stood up to face this Nun. "The whole 'evil' problem in the first place completely contests the existance of a God who is 'omnipotent' and 'omnibenevolent'. A god like that wouldn't even PERMIT the existence of evil and suffering, which can be easily proven to exist. If an omnipotent god existed, the evil in the world should be impossible. Since there IS evil in the world the god must not be omnipotent or he's not omnibenevolent. If he isn't omnipotent, he's not God. If he's not omnibenevolent, he's not God the allmercyful, but an evil creature."
The nun stared at me after i was done my explanation. "Shit, she didn't buy any of that... well at least i tri..."
"Oh, Lord...." the nun said. "YOU HAVE LIED TO ME!!!" she said looking up at the sky and ripping off her black and white hat. My jaw dropped and i choked back a laugh. "Thank you so much, young one, for showing me the true light. I shall no longer live my life in prayer."
"What're you gonna do now?" I asked positively curious.
"I'm going to get laid!" she said tearing off the rest of her robes, leaving her in a bra and panties. She leaned forwards and kissed me on the lips and ran off.
"For a nun, she had a nice body." I said laughing and watching as she ran down the street. "As of now, my path to hell has begun."
"Good to hear." a voice said behind me. I hopped around, throwing off my trench coat, and grabbed for the sword on my side. I spun around and horizontally sliced at his stomach but it was blocked by a smooth parry.
"Who are you?" i asked glaring at him.
"My name is Seven. I'm forsaken by God."
I paused for a second, thinking how perfectly everyone's timing was today. "And i'm listening." |

Seven had appeared behind the Fallen One long before he had known, transporting through the darkness and following him once he had come back from India. The files had been stored in the realm and Seven could retrieve them whenever he so chose, all he had to do was open the portal.
"That was a nice little show there." Seven laughed sitting down next to the Fallen One. "So you're trying to turn humans against God are you?"
"I figure then he would have the chance to banish me to Hell, not if I go right there." The Fallen One said.
"You've heard of the Forsaken Ones correct?" Seven asked him, leaning back and looking up at the sky.
"Yes, I have heard little, but some." He replied.
"Well, then let me tell you a story." Seven laughed, sitting back up and looking at the fallen angel sitting next to him. "You were not always forsaken by God. I was born forsaken. Something about me when I was born, told him that I wasn't worthy of his kingdom, and thus he banished me to hell unless I could complete a certain goal."
"Lucky." The Fallen One laughed as Seven couldn't help but allow a smile to creep through.
"Have you heard the name, Demos?" Seven questioned.
"Yeah, just on the news for a bit." He replied.
"Demos is a Demon, as old as God himself. Created at the begining of time, given immortality. Now, my goal is to claim his soul with this." Seven ripped his glove off very quickly to show the ruby pushed into the palm of his left hand. "Otherwise i'm banished to the lowest bowels of Hell."
"Wow, you got fucked." He said to Seven, amused by his story. "Now where do I come in?"
"Demos died." Seven continued. "I brought him back, because I need his soul. He was all powerful, but killed by a boy who could summon angelic energy through his sword. So I made a deal with him, I would help him hunt down the boy, and I would place his soul in a new body, he would keep his power for a year, and he would reclaim his sword. Of all the bodies I found... I gave him the body of a hobo."
"Nice." He added quickly.
"A blind hobo." Seven said. "He has developed spatial sense ontop of his other abilities as a swordsman, he's a dangerous enemy. Well, finally a year has passed and now he decided to raise an army with the help of Hades. All people who i've killed."
"Wow, that sucks." He laughed looking at a group of women who walked by. He winked at them as Seven laughed, eyeing a few of them himself.
"Agreed. I have seen Hades and-"
"YOU'VE MET HADES!?" The Fallen One exclaimed seemingly surprised.
"Yes, I know where the Gates are located." Seven replied. "And that's why I am here." He had something of confusion on his face as Seven opened a small portal in the ground and pulled a file from the realm of darkness. "Hades gave me this, he's got an eye on everybody in the world, and because Demos has enlisted an army of people who are sworn to kill me... I figured i'd enlist an army of my own."
"What's in it for me?" He asked, looking at his file before Seven snatched it back and dropped it back into the realm. He closed with a wave of his hand and then quickly looked behind him to see a couple comming out of a bar drunk off their asses.
"I will show you... No. I will BRING you to the Gates myself, and introduce you to Hades." Seven said, obviously knowing this deal would be his best bet.
"Deal." The Fallen One stated reaching out and shaking Seven's hand.
"Good." Seven said. "We'll need you... They've got a risen demon." |

Running, running, faster and faster, it was getting hard to breath, all the running I was doing was causing me severe cramps and a lot of trouble breathing. But still, I ran as hard and as fast as I could, clutching onto my hat as I went, to keep it from flying away. There was a gun in my left hand, just recently used, and there was panick in my eyes.
I could here them behind me, chasing, always chasing. I wished it was just a game, a game like little kids would play, the bad guy would be caught, but never harmed, just put in prison and that was that. But the still hot gun in my hand told me different.
I didn't really mean for things to get so out of hand, but what with how uncontrolable my panick mode has become since the accident, it was really out of hand hands.
"Get that girl!"
I heard that and my state of shock tripled, same with my speed. My feet were hurting badly, I was sure I was bleeding or something, but that didn't slow me down, not at all.
"Don't let her get away this time!"
I closed my eyes tight, wanting to be anywhere but here, anywhere but here.
"GET RYU!!"
I felt frightended tears well up in my eyes, and suddenly my knee's gave out from below me. I fell forward and my eyes shot open. I saw two people, men actually, before me, then I was on the ground.
The two men seemed..actually quiet scary, they seemed to have made some agreement or something, they had been shaking hands. Agreement? That might work.
I scuttled a few feet away from them, still on the ground, but on my ass. I tried to form words but the wouldn't come out. I felt tears again. I heard the raging footsteps closing in on me. I jumped up and straightened my hat, out of habbit. The two men just stared and looked puzzled.
"There she is! Get her before she gets away!!" A voice called out.
I turned and saw the group was a lot closer. I clentched my fists and turned back to the two men. I leaned in close to them and looked them both in the eyes one at a time.
"Help..me" I said just below a whisper, so I wasn't heard talking to them. I certianly didn't want them in my situation. "Get me out of here if you don't mind. I'm in abit of trouble."
"Whats in it for us?" One with blonde hair stated sternly.
I turned for a moment, then was grabbed by the arm by one person from the group that was chasing me. The elderly grusome man tugged me back, away from my potential rescurers. I tried to tugg myself free, but another pair of stong hands gripped my other arm, then another pair around my shoulders, it seemed the entire group was dragging me away, I wasn't strong enough..but I could still yell.
"JUST HELP ME GET OUT OF HERE!" I yelled, tears rolling down my cheeks, "I'll give you anything! I'll do anything!"
I was pulled further away, and I kept yelling, yelling for my life. People who were just passing by had stopped and were watching with glassy eyes, they flocked around us, watching and waiting, as if I was some performance, something to entertain them, like I was an object, as if I wasn't human. Even little kids were around me, many screaming horrible things at me, throwing things at me, the parents, of course, didn't mind. They just kept staring at me with those eyes. They all hated me for no reason, they all glared. If I didn't know any better, I'd say I was in hell.
"PLEASE! I promise I'll do anything!Please--" I screamed.
"Shut up you little bitch!" Another man from the group yelled.
"Don't..Don't let them do this! I'm begging you for your help!!" I continued.
The two men seemed to be listening, but I couldn't say for sure if they were going to help or not. I was hoping though.
"To the Prison! She'll be killed for sure!" A women cried out from the group.
I gasped and looked to the side, where I could see faintly in the distance a looming prison, old fashioned and disgusting.
"Yeah! Kill her! Kill her!" They cheered, "Let's just find a tree and hang her now"
I turned and saw many people had brought thick brown ropes just for the occasion and I found my self franticly pulling away. I wanted to run again, keep running, this was my worst nightmare coming true, I didn't want to die, not yet, not yet.
The group hauled me away, at an alarmingly fast rate, my fear growing. I spent my recent life preparing for this to happen, but I wasn't ready yet, I'd never be ready. Then I saw it, the tree, it was tall and dark, It had no keae on it, it was dead, had been dead for a long time now it seemed, There was two people on the tree typing a rope to it, then tying a noose. That tree had death written all overit, same with my name.
"PLEASE! GIVE ME A CHANCE!" I yelled at the two, in a final act of desperation. I hoped to god, if there was anysort of god up there, those two were listening, and if they were, they were figuring out a way to get me out of this situation.
((..Uh. That's all I got sorry to be so increadibly dramatic :[. To clearify. You two, are the two men. i'm about to get killed, so..uh. help?)) |

Seven stared watching very amused as they took their toll on her. They were dragging her backwards and she was screaming, almost praying for the two boys help but nothing seemed to be pursueding them to move in the least bit.
The fallen angel looked around and simply cracked his knuckles as Seven cracked his neck and began to look around. It wasn't their place to get involved, nor was it their place to stop her from being charged for whatever crime they commited.
"Shut up you little bitch!" echoed down the street as Seven suddenly felt like something was wrong about this. The Fallen One sat there looking around completely ignoring the scene going on down the street as Seven decided to finally mention it.
"Think we should actually help her?" He asked the Fallen One.
"What's in it for us?" He said.
"She did say anything." Seven laughed. "I could think of a few things that need to get done."
"Well, not me. You go play hero, i'm sick of it." He said simply.
"All right, i'll be right back... What exactly do you want me to call you?" Seven questioned.
"My angelic name is Shaun, but my mortal name is Callahan." Callahan said.
"Okay, Cal. I'll be back once I deal with this." Seven said plain and simple as Cal nodded. Seven stood up and held up his hand toward the girl as several black strands of darkness rose from the ground, wrapping around her and pulling her in. It shut quickly as the men once around her looked around confused, quickly looking up to Seven.
"GET HIM!" They hollered, removing guns as Seven simply crouched low and allowed the darkness to swallow him into the ground. He could hear them screaming and giving orders as the small dot of a shadow that was left when he moved close to the outside world showed. He could see their feet just bordering his veil of darkness as he sprung out of street itself, and quickly spun his foot around to slam into every face among them.
Drawing his short sword Seven delivered several blows to the men's sternums, rupturing their xiphoids before making a slash across the muscle comming down from their necks. Blood spilled outwards before Seven turned and spun his blade in his hand, ramming it backwards and cutting a large circle into a man's stomach.
"Who are you?" One man said still standing as Seven crushed one man's neck with his combat boots.
"Lucky Number Seven." Seven snarled reaching down to his side and removing a throwing knife from the strap on his right leg. It flew outwards and cut into the man's chest before seven simply walked up and palmed it farther in. It sliced right into his heart, and as Seven drew the blade and placed it back within its holder on his leg he laughed adn simply said: "Never call a girl a bitch." He fell backwards as Seven turned and reached his hand down into a small portal of darkness springing to life as his hand touched the street. It widened and he pulled the girl from the portal, quickly closing it once she was back on her feet.
"Thank you." She smiled wrapping her arms around Seven. He felt almost sick as he pulled himself away and pulled her back towards Cal. Once taking a seat the girl 'Ryu' as the man called her sat down in front of the two men as Seven reached down into the street and drew files.
"What luck, she's on the list he gave me." Seven laughed, drawing her file. "Ryu-Chan is it?"
"Call me Ryu." She said sternly, getting nothing but a nod from Seven.
"Well, you said you'd do anything right?" Seven smiled widely, intertwining his fingers while his elbows rest on his knees.
"You don't want sex do you?" She whimpered as Seven let out a loud roar.
"Hardly." He said still smiling. "No offense, but I need you to join my little... 'crusade' if you will." He laughed. "You've seen what I can do, and if you decline I will not hesitate to leave you stranded where nobody will ever find you."
"So you want me to join you?" She asked curiously.
"You have no choice to join us, ontop of that... You did say anything." Seven couldn't help but add that in as he continued looking at Ryu's file very intrigued as to why she was being chased though he knew that was none of his buisness. "There is a shell of a man, and his name is Demos." |

Skid stepped down the stairs, waking up after a particularly long night of trailing a man for his suspicious wife. Turned out the guy had a dark secret he was keeping from his wife, he was a pimp and didn't really have no problem getting kinky with his own girls. Unfortunately for him, Skid had to trail him to see if he was cheating on his wife... and if he was, he had permission to kill him for an extra bonus on the pay roll.
Stepping into the kitchen, Skid let out a breathy sigh as he opened the fridge. Searching for his energy drinks... And they were gone. Skid's fingers tapped on the fridge door, before he shut it rather forcefully. He wasn't exactly in a patient mood, as he had spent the entire night working for a low paying hit.
"Sorry Skid, DK is out shopping right now so she'll restock the fridge... That woman better look for discount prices or I'm gonna insert a knife up her-"
Skid cleared his throat, cutting short EK's rant on bodily harm against her co-leader. He began to tap the table she was sitting in front of, indicating he wanted to know about the papers in front of her.
"We're still behind on our finances. We're still safe... For now. But we need to get a good sum of money soon or it won't be anymore." EK sighed, writing down a few things and typing some numbers into her lap top. "I really appreciate you doing that job last night, it might have only been ten-grand but we're really falling behind with this lack of jobs lately."
Skid sat down, and tiredly nodded his head as he rested his head on his hand. He picked up a list with his free hand, and began to look through the upcoming job list. It was of a small size, and with very low pay. This wasn't suitable for what they had to manage, considering they owned half of the city territorial wise. Skid sighed, before putting down the list. Most of the jobs would be done by grunts, and the only elite job would be done by someone else, considering Skid had already done his turn.
"I really hope something comes up..." EK sighed, letting out a moment of weakness. Skid nodded, knowing that once DK came back she would be loud and violent as always. Skid began to make some hand symbols, communicating through sign language.
EK read his hands, and then shook her head. "No... Tony hasn't contacted us yet. He said he'd give us a job as soon as it turned up... I guess nothing is happening right now." She began to hastily write down something, and typed into her lap top. "All this and I still have to keep my day job for appearance sake... and this house."
Skid chuckled breathily, his absense of vocal cords had made his laughs, chuckles, and any other sort of mouth communication come out as breath and no sound. Ever since he had lost his vocal cords from a bullet shot, he had taken to wearing shades as well. It certainly made him an ominous figure, he said no words and he was never found without his shades.
"What are you still sitting here for? Go do the dishes or something, this house is a pig sty!" EK growled, shooing Skid away.
Skid simpered, creeping away from the table and toward the kitchen. He made faces at her, but she just smirked and made a whipping gesture. Looks like the day would be for chores at this rate. |

They sat on the side walk, a fallen angel, a Forsaken, and a girl that had reason to run from wherever she came from. Seven had been rummaging through his files while Cal talked to Ryu, slightly intrigued as to her story. The words did not reach Seven's ears, but he could vaguely make out the discription of Cal noding from the side of his eye.
Quickly he focused back to the files, all providing the same old normal names... Except for two. He glanced at the names "Skid" and "Ek". Ek, that's a pretty bizzare name to see. He pondered as he picked up the file and slid it open. Not much was written about her except she had once taken a bullet, and that she was the leader of a gang.
Skid's profile showed many more impressive things considering Ek's short summary. He was mute due to an accident, and had a very large kill count. It took two sheets of names before seeing several blank sheets that had obviously yet to be filled.
"So Hades' files update automatically... That could come in handy." Seven said flipping back to Ek's file, looking at where she could be found. "Hey guys?" He asked leaning over looking at the files.
"Yeah?" Cal and Ryu replied turning towards Seven.
"Do you guys know how to get to South City?" He asked.
"I do." Cal said.
"I could find it on a map." Ryu added in.
"Just... Don't move." Seven said crouching down as the darkness swirled up around his body and instantly he vanished. Appearing around the borders of the city Seven began to walk fowards towards a house off in the distance on top of a hill. It was a two story house, and according to the files right there was where they'd find Ek and Skid.
"DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!" Ryu said falling out of the darkness very dizzy.
"That was AWESOME!" Cal said letting out a loud laughter. "Great way to travel."
"We have to go there... Unfortunatly they won't be helping us out as easily as you two." Seven said.
"What do they have to lose?" Cal asked stepping up beside Seven.
"Nothing." Seven replied simply. "We'll have to hire them. They're tough, can take a bullet easily and keep going. Force won't work, threats won't work... I don't suppose either of you have money do you?" Cal shook his head, being an exangel didn't really make you need money Seven guessed, and considering Ryu hadn't said anything, he took that as a no too. "Figures."
They made their way off to the house, reaching it much faster than they thought they would considering it was up hill. Cal stepped fowards and pounded his fist on the door and quickly it was answered by a girl with very long orange hair answered looking very stern.
"Hello Ek." Seven said with a smile. "I have a proposition for you and man named Skid, and I will be paying in cash." She was silent as she stepped to the side and instantly Seven bowed slightly before walking into the house. It was actually rather nice in the house, better than what Seven expected considering they were part of a gang. They must have been the dominant gang of South City nor did it surprise Seven at all given Skid's kill count alone.
"So what's this proposition?" She asked sitting down at the dinning room table.
"It's a long term job. It will take an unknown amount of time, but the pay will be worth it." Seven said as Cal and Ryu also took a seat.
"Who are these two?" She asked as Seven merely waved them off.
"Don't worry about them right now, it's not important until I hear your response." Seven was very impatient about knowing what was going to happen to his group, and he wanted to know if he should go back to Hades and begin demanding more files.
Out from the room that looked like a kitchen came a man with spiky black hair that fell sloppily over his headband wearing black shades and a red T-shirt with blue jeans and black combat boots.
"So this is Skid." Seven said looking him over. "You've a very impressive kill count so i've seen."
"He's mute." Ek said.
"I am aware Miss thank you." Seven said being curteous. "You've both accomplished many things, I am indeed impressed. You'd be a valuable addition to the team." Skid then made several hand jestures that Seven could already tell was sign language.
"How valuable?" Ek relayed his question.
"How is 100 grand, for each of you?" Seven said.
"100 grand a piece?" Ek asked assuring she had heard her ears. "So 200 grand total?" Seven merely nodded, knowing that was more than enough for their mission. She looked over at Skid who nodded towards the kitchen where Seven stood as Ek stood from the table. She walked into the other room and Seven sat down and looked to Cal.
"Where are you going to get that money?" Cal asked.
"I am in a fighters guild." Seven said. "We fight to the death. I've done Eighty-Seven matches without a scratch... It pays VERY good money when you put on a show." Ek and Skid walked back into the room and Ek sat down, Skid standing behind her silent as he always would be.
"We'll accept, but half the money up front." She stated. Seven nodded and stood up, quickly standing up and placing his hand on the wall right behind him. A dark portal shaped it's way into the wall as Seven produced several large clips of money and slid them across the table to Ek.
"You'll be breifed once we leave to continue to pick of the rest of the members." Seven smiled. "Feel free to count it if you must, I assure you it's all there." |

The night was cold, the moon was bright and the air was thick with the smell of blood.
Malakai walked on through the forest. His dagger and sword soaking their blades in blood on the inside of their sheaths. Moments ago, he had come across an encampment of 5 people having a pleasant camping experience out in the remote regions of the forest. Trying their best to avoid them, he had attempted to go around their camp. But with the sight of the kill withing range, it took literally all of his will to just attempt to resist.
But, as usual, his alter ego had won over. As blades connected with bone and steel connected with flesh and every drop of blood hit the ground, Malakai internally tore himself away. Raiding their valuables, he left the man, woman and three children to the wolves. Minutes later he had regained his composure and had discarded the silver and gold, disgusted that it was even in his hands.
“What did you do that for? If you actually kept half of the stuff I get for us, we’d be rich!” the voice in his head questioned. “You be quiet. How many times do I need to tell you, I have no desire to engage in any kind of conversation with you?”
“Heh heh heh. Oh, poor diluted Malakai. You are hopelessly pathetic. And you have the gaul to call yourself an assassin?” his inner self questioned with disgust at his hosts weakness.
“Assassins do not kill for the mere pleasure of it!” he argued setting himself down on the edge of a cliff that he had aimlessly wandered to. Dangling his legs off the edge, he took in the beautiful landscape of the forest and the full moon’s ominous glow. Feeling the wind pass through his long copper hair.
“They kill because they need to. They kill because it is required. They kill because they are ordered to. They kill to save.”
“They kill to save?! Now that good! That is very good! They kill to save. I have never heard of such an absurd paradox! Assassins kill because they are cold-hearted, they are evil, they are vile and they are selfish! Assassins save no one! Assassins kill all! And in being an assassin you should do just that!”
“You are wrong.” Malakai answered, never losing his cool composure. “Assassins kill in the name of good. To protect the people of their interest. Those who are not a justified selected target are innocent.”
Though Malakai’s inner-self would not give up this quarrel. “KILL IN THE NAME OF GOOD?! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS KILLING IN THE NAME OF GOOD! KILLING IS KILLING! TO TAKE THE LIFE OF ANOTHER FOR PERSONAL VENDETTA’S OR ORDERS OF A HIGHER POWER WHO WISHES FOR ANOTHER TO FULFILL THEIR VENDETTA’S FOR THEM!” He raged.
“KILLING DOES NOT PROTECT PEOPLE! KILLING SACRIFICES THE LIFE OF ANOTHER TO KEEP ONE SELF ALIVE! IT IS A SELFISH ART MADE BY MAN TO PROTECT MAN! THOUGH YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BALLS TO ADMIT THIS! I AM! I ADMIT, I KILL FOR MY OWN GAIN! I KILL TO SUFFICE MY OWN SELFISH NEEDS AND WANTS! AND THAT MAKES ME MORE OF A HUMAN THAN YOU COULD EVER BE! I DESERVE CONTROL OF THIS BODY! I AM THE REAL HUMAN HEAR!”
Soon Malakai was trapped in another fight for control of himself as his inner demon was fighting for control to get out. But this time, Malakai wasn’t going to let him. Summoning all the self control that he could muster. Fighting down his alter ego as one would to keep vomit down in their gut instead of hurling it out their mouth. 3 full minutes of internal struggling finally gave way to Malakai coming out the victor.
Panting loudly on all fours, catching his breath. Finally, he gathered himself up, wiping the sweat from his brow and from underneath his eyes, he looked off over the landscape again. Allowing the breeze to caress his sweating face. As he watched the trees sway in the wind he let his hand travel to the hilt of his dagger. He pulled it out of its hilt, and stared at the blood still fresh that hand stained his dagger just ten minutes ago.
Pulling the hilt off of his belt he tipped it over. And watched the crimson liquid pour from the inside of it. The blood of five innocent people. When the blood was completely drained, he placed the sheath back on his belt, wiped the blood off of his crystal blade and re-sheathed it. Turning his head towards the starry heavens, he silently prayed for god to show him a path that would redeem him for his sins. A prayer made thousands of times before, and is still left open ended. |

I watched as the two newest members to the group counted the 100,000 dollars. It sure was a lot of money. I didn't ever need it but when i was alive long ago, i was never really very ... wealthy.
I looked around the people in the room. From Seven, to Skid, to EK, and finally to Ryu. In that moment when i saw her, i made a decision. Although i'm trying to get to hell now, with the help of seven, there are certain things i would not do. I had hesitated in helping this girl, Ryu, and then found out that she was to help us out in our quest. That would've been a grave error if it weren't for Seven. From now on, i decided, i would protect my group-mates with everything i have, but not give a rat's ass about anyone else. Yeah, that sounds good to me.
I walked over to stand by Ryu. "I'm sorry i hesitated in saving you. We've gotta be working together." i said to her.
She jumped a bit, having not noticed i was next to her and then kinda gave a nervous smile and said "It's okay."
I stood there awkwardly, not knowing what else to say, but wanting to say something. Luckily she was the one to break the silence "So, you're like... an Angel or something?"
I laughed a bit, nervously. "Yeah, i, kinda, with the.... No. Not really an Angel anymore. I... quit my position. Now i'm a Fallen Angel. God threw me out of his Kingdom. Bastard."
"Ah, i see. So are you... basically mortal now? Besides the wings and stuff." she continued as if she didn't want the awkward silence to return.
"Yeah. I've got mortality now. But still have angelic power, ya know, ya can't be alive for thousands of years and not get a little muscle strength. And i'm not sure but i think that a little bit of my Angelic strength is left, but not much. But i can still die like any other human." i explained to her.
I had been avoiding looking at her and instead, staring at Skid and EK counting all the money. For basically the first time looking at her, i noticed she was a really attractive girl. She was wearing a dark red button up shirt hanging over onto her hip hugger pants that were tight around her thighs but loose around her shins. I looked back up to her head and saw brown hair hanging in a loose pony tail down to just below her shoulders and took a glance into her brown eyes under the musketeer hat that she was wearing.
Ryu noticed me looking at her and kinda edged away a bit.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to stare." i said apologetically.
"I've just had some... bad... memories with guys... sorry if i'm kinda un-trusting of guys." Ryu said getting kinda grim and serious.
"Well, i can understand that. What would i have to do to earn this "trust" of yours?" i asked smiling a bit.
She grinned up at me "Step back a couple steps." i stepped backwards a couple steps without looking and ran into the doorway.
"Cal, quit playing around. This isn't the place or time." Seven said and turned back to watch Skid and EK.
Ryu choked back a laugh as i walked to stand next to her again, glaring at her. I looked down at her. "You suck."
Ryu laughed a bit more and then Seven, EK, and Skid stood up from their chairs.
"It's all accounted for." EK said.
"Good," Seven said. "It's time for us to pick up the next recruit, then." |

Seven stood up and reached into the wall again, drawing the list of files and dropping them onto the table. Spreading out Cal's, Ryu's, Ek's and Skid's profiles he quickly snatched it away as Skid attempted to look at it.
"Sorry," Seven said. "Hades wouldn't be too appreciative of that if you could see that." He game them little insight on his life as he quickly picked up the next file in line. It was a man named "Arc". No real name, just Arc. He was located within South City, very good for the crew considering that they were directly on the outskirts of South City. He was supposed to have a power that would help very much, the ability to summon light from his arm.
"Arc?" Cal asked reading over Seven's shoulder.
"Yes." Seven said simply. "He's the next one, within South City."
"Lets go then." Ek said simply as Seven stepped out the door, giving a quick eye to Cal.
"What were you doing in there?" He questioned Cal sternly.
"What?" Cal asked, acting completely confused.
"Don't lose sight of the mission." Seven said.
"I won't, but you know." Cal said, begining to imply. "It wouldn't hurt if you lightened up a little bit." Seven stopped walking, and closed his eyes for a second.
"It's not my style to lighten up." He said over his shoulder before he continued walking fowards and made his way into the large skyscrappers of South City. It wasn't a dark and damp as expected, but it was still something very diffrent to Seven. He was not used to closed spaces, he was used to a very large city that was spaced out. Pub and bars, not areas of buisness where people actually worked.
The small group of Ryu, Cal, Ek, Skid, and Seven made their way through the city as Seven began to finally realize that he never looked at the exact coordinates as to where to find this Arc person. It was strange, but for some reason Seven felt pitty for everybody in the city. They worked, they earned their money by doing little job with little excitement. Seven killed for his money, and did it very well. Ek and Skid also killed for a living, Cal had been able to feel the hatred for God by being thrown out of heaven, and Ryu was being chased down by some kind of organization Seven figured.
"We need to get to Thirty Second Street." Seven said, looking to Ek and Skid. "This is your city, why don't you lead the way?" Ek nodded and began to walk ahead of the group with Skid directly by their side. Seven fell back allowing Cal to step in front of them while Seven began to talk to Ryu.
"Hello." She said.
"Good day Miss Ryu." Seven replied instinctively.
"So what was that about before when you and Cal were talking?" She asked.
"He wants me to 'lighten up'." Seven didn't take his eyes from following Ek and Skid, knowing that Ryu would dislike it if he decided to do what Cal had. He had actually read the profiles very closely and knew more things about them that he had let on.
"Why don't you?" Ryu asked.
"Something you need to know about me," Seven said. "I've killed hundreds to get my way, and i've pulled strings that I don't even have to get here today. To find out that the demon I need to kill to keep from torture in the Underworld has enlisted an army... All of which want to kill me. It frustrates you. I didn't ask for this, I was born into it. God decided that I was to be Forsaken, for reasons I can't explain nor will ever know. How would you feel?" He asked, quickly looking over and seeing her staring at him.
"I take it that doesn't feel too great." She said, looking fowards back to where they were heading.
"Not at all." He added. "What's your story? If you don't mind me asking."
"Let's just say i'm running." She said.
"I can fix that for you." Seven insisted.
"What?" She asked.
"I can fix that. Once this is over, I will be comming upon a great deal of strength. I'll help you, to repay the favor." Seven said.
"But you already saved me once." Ryu stated.
"I'm feeling generous." Seven said. "You lucked out today kid." With that Cal began stopped and fell back to walk next to Ryu as Seven quickened his pace to give them time to talk a lone. Seven prefered talking to people one on one and it felt strange having several people talking at once because the conversation felt too stretched out.
"Here's Thirty Second Street." Ek said, pointing to the sign. Seven quickly read it and drew the files from the ground. He drew the files and began to flip through Arc's profile before realizing it was the house directly in front of them.
"In there." Seven said, walking fowards to the house and pressing the doorbell. The door knob began to turn after several pounding noises comming from what Seven believed to be the stairs. The door opened and in the door way stood a man who stood around 5' 7" with black hair that hung down in his face open the door. His red shirt was vibrant against black pants and something of a cloak that hung behind him. His shirt was ripped at one sleeve, and the sleeve itself was tied around his arm. He looked as if he had just been disturbed from some kind of work, given that he was sweating slightly and out of breath. "Arc is it?" |

((Longer than I would have wished...ugh.))
Shit! Time to lie, I have no need for these people.
"No, my name is Joh--" I started to speak, but I saw the two--Ek, and Skid. Those two were in the rival gang. The only reason they could want me, is if they wanted to kill me. Killing me would break the truce between the gangs. An interesting move for Skid, if I say so myself...
"Why are you here, Skid?" I asked abruptly, "to kill me?"
Skid shook his head and motioned toward the person who adressed me in the first place.
"I'm Seven."
"You look more like twenty," I rebuttled, "and seven year olds usually don't have members of trash-gangs hanging around with them."
"...Keep talking, Arc..." Ek chimed in.
"Well, what the hell do ya want me to do? Here, I find you and Skid dirtying my doorstep. If you don't want to kill me, why are you here? You wanna start a war?!"
"I'm the reason, they're here," the twenty year old replied, "my name is Seven."
Sarcastically, I said, "Nice name."
"Back at cha," he said, "Look, we're short on time. Arc, we need your help against a group of resurrects led by a genocidal demon are walking the earth. Hades said you have a special gift."
"Hades said that, did he?" I smiled, "Chat with him often? Over tea? Or did you both just shoot over to Starbucks and grab a hazelnut frappacino?"
"He's serious," a man to his right said.
"Who are you? He's Seven? Are you...The One?!" I asked, not taking these people seriously at all.
"I'm Callahan, and Seven's being truthful." the One said.
"Okay, let's say that there is a genocidal demon on the loose," I hypothesized, "Why would I want to possibly give flying fu--"
"I can promise you money," Seven hinted.
"I work for a gang--THE South City gang. Why would I need your money? Furthermore, if you did promise me money, I have no way of seeing if it's counterfeit or not," I stood my ground, "You, Neo. What'd he promise you?"
"He promised me an entrance to Hell," Callahan said, with not the slightest bit of humor.
"Look, Seven...if this is all you got..." I rubbed my eyes.
"Having trouble with the law?" A girl piped in, "We can make you disappear."
"Now, she looks more like seven than you do, Seven. And, no, sweetheart, I can make myself disappear--in more ways than one."
"Hades said something like that..." Seven added.
"And how's Hades know this about me, gimme that file," I reached foreward. Seven jerked his hand away, but a picture slipped out from another file.
"See?" he said, "That's the demon. Demos. There are the people who're helping. That's Striker, Zora, Rako, and—“
“Shade,” I finished. No, it’s impossible.
“Uh…right. Demos is the demon. All the others are resurrects. Ya know, people who have died, but came back to life.”
I perked up at that, “Why? Do those people have another chance?!”
“No. Hades likes fucking with me. See, all those people were killed by m--”
“Ya should’ve paid for his coffee at Starbucks! So, we’ll find these people? Like…meet them?”
“Yes, and kill them.”
“…Fine. I’m in.”
“…you…you are? Just like that? Why?”
“You can’t ask why. That’s a deal breaker. My reason and my name are my own. No one will exhume them from me.” |

Seven looked to Arc with distain to his sarcastic tone. He had already clashed against Skid and Ek, and they had a much more impressive streak of killing than Arc did. Given they were mercenaries they HAD to have a better streak, but it seemed that Arc hadn't exactly been the way that Seven expected.
"So Twenty where we off to?" Arc asked looking around as the group descended the stairs to his porch.
"It's Seven." Seven growled. "Call me Twenty again and i'll kill you." Arc sighed before begining to follow the group as Seven quickly rummaged through the files.
"How many more people?" Ek asked walking along side of him.
"Two more." Seven replied. "Both located in the woods right outside of town." Seven skimmed the profile of a man named Malakai, who was very skilled with the weapons he used. He was roaming the woods, because the coordinates continuously changed. Though according to his file, he was heading towards town some ways. Suddenly he stopped as they continued walking, Seven's pace quickening until he was almost at a run. Something about this Malakai person worried him, and he wanted to get to him as soon as they could.
"We're not going in to the woods are we?" Ryu asked as the woods came ever closer in the distance once they had back-tracked past Ek and Skid's house, and made their way towards the woods.
"Yes we are." Seven replied suddenly feeling a looming over their heads. He looked at the map and could already tell that he was a good ways into the woods, but after they picked up both members he could just transport them back to town.
They wandered for a good three hours as they walked around searching for Malakai, not realizing that if he were an assassin he would have heard them comming.
"Hey," Arc said looking around. "This guy's an assassin right?" Seven hollered back a simple yeah. "Then wouldn't he be well hidden or something?"
"GUYS COME HERE!" Ryu's voice cracked as the entire party began to make it's way towards a clearing. It was a camp site with a pick up truck, and a trailer hitched to the back. In the midst of the camps bodies lay slaughtered, cut open with vicious force up until the last one. The last one had an arrow stuck in his forehead that lay sticking directly upwards into the sky, and Ryu quickly turned and bumped into Cal who smiled slightly. Kids and their ideas. Seven though rolling his eyes and then walking farther into the campsite.
It was completely quiet, the only sound were the small rats that had gathered to pick off the dead bodies of the humands. Above small vultures swirled over head in the clearing of the sky awaiting for a chance to land without being disturbed so they too could join in the meal.
Seven walked up to the man who had been gutted with a small dagger or so it seemed, reached around and into his back pocket and quickly removed his wallet.
"You're pick pocketing them?" Arc asked.
"They won't be needing it." Cal added as Seven quickly took the money and dropped it into a black hole that had formed in the ground. He did it with the woman's purse, and even the money their son had in his front pockets. All dropped into the darkness where Seven would have the opportunity to retrieve it whenever he so chose. Seven stood up and looked at the map, the coordinates had yet to move yet again and quickly he looked around.
Skid quickly pointed upwards as the rattling of branches sounded, a black cloak quickly streaming through the air and landing directly in the middle of the camp site. Not many had noticed Skid's alert considering it wasn't vocal, but they had noticed the black figure that landed within the campsite. He reached to his side and drew his sword, quickly spining towards the group with his back at Seven before charging fowards. The entire group had dove out of the way, knowing they needed this assassin for the mission... All except for Arc.
Arc stood there, very smirk, simpy rising his hand across his chest as a large beam of light pulsed from his arm. It covered his hand thus making it completely invisible as the assassin's sword clanged off of it, energy streaming through the blade yet again. He flipped his arm outwards, sending the sword into a near by tree the man reached for his dagger. He was quickly meeted by a large swing from Skid that impressed everybody for the most part.
"Malakai." Seven said leaning over him as he began to look around. "Look, we're not here to kill you." Malakai looked up through the brown hair that fell to his shoulders, his white hood falling back to reveal his face. He didn't seem like the assassin type to Seven, considering his face looked almost young... Although Seven couldn't have been that much older or younger than him. "We need your help." Seven said, just awaiting some kind of answer before extending his hand to help up Malakai. |

((Sorry, this is gonna be super short D: But I felt the need to stay active in this Rp. :] ))
While the others were talking and negotiating, I kept my distance for the most-part. I didn't really want to get anywhere near those dead, sliced up people. It made me sick, the stentch was thick, and I was coughing a lot.
I looked to the man named 'Arc' he was scary, and that beam of light trick didn't do much to improve his image. I decided it was best to keep my distance from him.
I glanced at the recently named Malakai. I was curious as to why he suddenly jumped out and attacked. I figured he must be jumpy about sumthin'. I'd better keep tabs on him.
I figured Seven would be a good person to at least give a small amount of my trust to. He seemed nice enough to me. But he was still rather quiet and secretive. Hmph. Ah well. He did say he'd help me out after all this.
I once again lanced down at the bodies of the family the had recently been killed..No. not killed, they've been slaughtered, massacered, murdered. It was a pretty sickening sight to behold. So inched away and stood behind the only person in the group that I could really consider a friend. And that was Cal. He was a pretty nice person, even if he kinda didn't really care if I died or not when I was being dragged away.
"Whats up with you?" He asked, turning his head slightly towards me.
"..It's really creepy out here." I said in a hushed voice.
"Are you scared?" He asked with a sly smile.
"S-so what if I am?!" I growled, blushing with embarrasment, "I hate it out here! And those corpses don't exactly help the forest look friendly." I whined.
A loud cry of a vulture erupted from above, then more and more. I freaked and clung onto my hat out of habbit.
"Hey-hey. Relax." Cal said.
"R-right." I muttered.
Gawd if this was the type of work I'd have to be doing then I dunno if facing the gallows was so bad.. Well. I take that back. |

I quietly stood by the waterfall, gazing at its eternal beauty. Its amazing how it was still beautiful to me, even after all of the times Ive been there. Diving into the pool of water it entered, I decided to stay normal this time, wanting to enjoy the feel of the water through my long hair. After a few minutes of swimming I climbed out, feeling refreshed.
Just then I heard the cry of a vulture.Rani, we have company. I looked to the sky and closed my eyes. Before I knew it I was flying through the air. The wind blew the my feathers, and sent me higher.
Joining the vultures, I looked down, and made a mind connection with the birds that I currently flew with.
Whats going on? Do you know? I saw seven of them, one girl was standing next to a man, gripping her hat in what seemed like fear. The man had a sword strapped to his waist, its holder was something that I have seen on some of the people passing through. Looking around I saw others. Another man, there were five of them. One of them, with long yellow hair, stood next to another one, with brown hair that reached to his shoulders.
Ive seen that man before...The one with the brown hair that reaches his shoulders. You guys dont recognize him do you?
He does seem slightly familiar. But you know us Rani.
I stayed silent after that last statement from one of the vultures. Curiousity was getting the better of me, as I landed into the trees next to them and quietly turned back to normal. Silently walking closer, I could make out the rest of the group. A woman was standing, with long orange hair stood next to a man that stood there completley still.
Just then I heard the snap of a twig. I had stepped on a stick. The entire group looked towards my direction. Fear soon over-took me as I shifted into a fox, and ran towards my waterfall, away from the people. By the time I had returned to my waterfall, my heart was racing.
I started to talk to myself, "Why didnt I look at my surroundings? Im usually more careful then that! Who were those people anyways? They werent like the others that I have seen visiting the woods..."
Calm down Rani. Your just thinking to much, like always. An old wolverine came to my side. I placed my hand on his bear like snout and smiled.
You always knew me best Kione. After all you were the one who convinced the others to join you. I layed down and closed my eyes.
Yes, get your rest Rani. Afterall we still dont know the intentions of these humans.
I was already asleep on a big rock near the waterfall, my thoughts racing about the humans that I saw. The waterfall's mist gently sprayed my body, and kept the rock and myself cool. |

Seven's head snapped to his left as something moved, instantly he turned and brushed the long strands of blond hair from his eyes. A small fox rushed away before Seven quickly dove off into the woods after it. It ran quickly, much faster than Seven could, but it seemed to be dodging anything that would make noise. It was quick to react as a tree had been conveniently placed, as if to oppose a problem.
Seven continued to bolt towards is a puddle of darkness errupted from in front of the tree. He fell into it, continuing running as the Fox seemed to slow down no longer able to hear the sound of it's pursuer. Seven walked right behind the fox, being able to see it's paws pad against the surface directly over the darkness he was hiding in.
It stopped, as Seven did himself, but directly in front of a wolverine. Sure the wolverine was going to attack Seven watched as closely as he could, but was taken back when he saw the fox lift up onto two feet and kneel beside the wolverine. He rubbed his neck against her hand, and as she stood he watched her brown hair fall down past her back.
It can't be. Seven though quickly ducking down and reaching farther down into the darkness, retrieving the files. He tossed them back into the hole he had created, when he reached the last file. Rani Lilith... Opening the file he began to read very quickly, only stopping to see the wolverine walking away once the woman had climbed ontop of a rock and had began to sleep. It was definatly her, the power to shapeshift into animals wasn't a common skill. Nor was a woman dressed accordingly in the middle of the woods.
Seven climbed up through the ground as Rani instantly shot upwards, staring at him. He stopped instantly as she stared at him, before he took one step fowards. She didn't move, nor did he remove his eyes from hers. No sudden movements, or reaching for his pockets, just walking towards her with his hands by her sides.
"Rani Lilith." He said approaching her. He head perked up slightly as she climbed down from the rock and stepped up to Seven. He wasn't much taller than her, only a few inches as he began to observe her facial features. She had obviously been on her own for a long time, it showed.
She snapped her head to her left as Seven followed her gaze to see Ryu running towards them. The rest of the group was a short ways back, walking. Ryu bolted, and Seven could already sense Rani's fear for the crowd before they had even been close enough to recognize. The only reason he knew it was Ryu was the large feather sticking from her hat.
"STOP!" Seven hollered holding up his hand. She didn't stop. "RYU NO!" Seven hollered again, though she did not stop. She had made it to the clearing as Seven snapped his fingers, a large barrier of darkness shooting upwards that stopped Ryu quickly. Nothing could be seen within the darkness, only Rani and Seven, but the sounds of the forest echoed into the dark room they were in. Seven merely crouched down and awaited for Rani to become comfortable with her surroundings before he began.
"I know you can understand me." He said, looking at her sitting across from him once she had calmed down. "My name is Se..." He cut himself off as she stared at him, awaiting some kind of answer. "I am Memphis Rebellion. I am on a journey, and I am in need of your assitance." He began to tell the tale, and was explaining the tale of his others and why they were following him. All except for Malakai and Arc, they had not been able to account their tales yet, nor was he sure whether or not Malakai would be joining them or not. He was only focused on Rani, and whether or not she would decide to join the army he was building. |
