You can use superscripts: X2 + 2X + 4 = 0

You can use subscripts: H2O

Monospaced can come in handy.

Remember the scrolling feature on the old forums?

Mouseover spoiler tag: Useful when you want to hide the plot twist of a movie, etc.

You can also put a line through your text, called a strikeout on edits.
