I went to the forums of ToonZone, and I read that PPGZ is going to be on CN fall '07.
Read the schedule for CN and search for either "Powerpuff" or "PPGZ" in the "Find (On this Page)" option in Internet Explorer. I hope that either FUNimation, BAN-DAI, or Animation Collective can dub it. |

That raises an interesting question.
What would be worse? PPGZ....or PPGZ with 4kids dubbing?
:?:
Wow, I can't even begin to wonder. |

| Despite the fact that I don't have the urge to watch the most disturbing episode seen in ppgz(This weeks episode, and first impression from moetron's screenies, then again i stop watching this show at episode 26 i believe), I say the worse disaster would be obliviously 4kids dubbing with PPGZ( Thank god for Uncut DVDs). |

It depends which show 4Kids is doing. Honestly, I liked the job they did on Yu-Gi-Oh!. Fact of the matter is; it was never a good show to begin with, and it took itself way too damn seriously for its own good. Did they make it look more light-hearted or tongue-in-cheek? Not really.
But they did manage to make it look more ridiculous than it ever was, which is quite a feat when you consider the fact that it's a show where the hero saves the world from evil giant demons by playing a children's card game. They managed to make Yu-Gi-Oh! worse, but in doing so, they lowered a "it's so bad, it's good" level, so it's all good. Before so, it was just... bad.
Really, I get more laughs from the shocked facial expressions that pop up every 5 seconds in Yu-Gi-Oh! than chuckles from all of Family Guy's randomly generated flashbacks. Combined.
Come on! Yu-Gi-Oh!'s freaking hilarious! You know it!
One Piece's "localization", however, is another story. That show actually had quite a bit of respectability to it prior to the 4Kids treatment.
But hey, 4Kids! If you want to butcher the show that butchered my childhood, be my guest. Gut it, rape it, stab it, for all I care. But please make it bad enough so I can make fun of it (like Yu-Gi-Oh!).
So, yeah. I hope 4Kids gets the license for this one. |

| 4Kids dubbing PPGZ is the only way the anime can hit rock bottom. But then again I doubt anyone will care. |

I for one would like to think that CN US will indeed pick up PPGZ. Keep in mind that those Toonzone posts are from mid February, and a lot may have changed since then. What was posted was 'IF CN picks PPGZ up, it would more likely air in Miguzi's time period than in Toonami's.' Let's hope that CN DOES pick it up and finds a good dubbing team.
Regarding Yu-Gi-Oh! (sorry for going off-topic): I loved Puffy AmiYumi's rendering of the show in their In The Cards segment. Calling the game "Stu-Pi-Doh" was wickedly funny! |

| The Powerpuff Girls Z dub is being done by Ocean Group, who has done Cartoon Network-aired anime dubs in the past (Hamtaro, Inuyasha, and Gundam Wing to name a few). |

They are a production company located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada that specializes in localizing anime into English, including doing translation, dubbing and subtitling. I've known some of the voice actors names: Kirby Morrow, Pauline Newstone, Scott McNeil, Matt Hill, Richard Ian Cox, Gary Chalk, Monica Stori, etc.
However, I'm amazed to know that they're gonna do the PPGZ Dub. |

| This is unlikely since none of the classic series' voice actors are associated with the Ocean Group, which is doing the English dub. A pity as I would *love* to hear Kathy, E.G. and Tara voice their Z counterparts. |
