Which of the two Powerpuff Girls was a rival to Blossom? Is it Bubbles or Buttercup? What do you think?

Arright, I'll bite.

Obviously all three of them were comparable to each other in some way or another. Buttercup is well known to be the "toughest" of the three but she did come off as headstrong. Bubbles may not have been the fiercest of the warriors but under a great deal of stress she could have easily raised her power to greater heights.

But I don't think any of them were considered rivals. They all represent 3 sides of the same coin (yea, yea, coins have only 2 sides, just roll with it). Blossom's rival was probably just Brick. At least, that sounds about right.

BTW, was there ever an episode where this topic came up? The only one I can remember now was the one where Bubbles tells the giant monster to leave the city alone after the other two's attempts to beat it fail.

That was Three Girls and a Monster. The debate between Blossom's brains and Buttercup's brawn reached a climax as both tried different ways to overcome the Godzilla-like monster. I loved the final two minutes, especially Bubbles speeches to the monster and her sisters, and the narrator's closing line and picture:

"And so once again, the day is saved, thanks to... Bubbles!"

In some ways, Buttercup has trying to get Blossom's position of leader several times, so she would be her direct rival as far as her sisters are concerned.

In Octi Evil, she constantly questioned Blossom's actions and thought she could do better (which of course, she didn't).

In Not So Awesome Blossom, Buttercup takes over the role as leader when Blossom wimps out and leaves the team, but her impulsive nature made her and Bubbles easy prey for Mojo's schemes.


Bubbles is more a follower than a leader, which explains why she usually follows whoever gives the orders (whether that's Blossom or Buttercup), rather than go for the top job herself.

That's more becuase of her low self esteem than a personal choice, I guess.

perhaps Bubbles doesn't want both her sisters feelings to get hurt...The reason perhaps she listens to Buttercup or eiher Blossom...

Her true rivalwould be for me Mojo, Him, Brick or Princess...But to if I really have to answer Bubbles or Buttercup;

I think Buttercup is, the episode 'Three Girls and a Monster' really convinced me ^^;

How can one even ask a question like this! Buttercup and Blossom are constantly arguing, fighting, and criticising each other.
