| So there's an RP idea i'm fiddling with, and I don't have the specifics but it takes place in a crazy... Crazy, not really so much an old style world as much as it's just we travel on foot... Standard rules apply, magic is existent along with pretty much anything you can whip up.. Anybody wanna jump in on this? I'll wait a few days and post my profile, despite interest of lack of. Thanks, adios |

| Depending on the set premise, I might consider getting into a traditional roleplay, but don't count on a guarantee. It's been two games already I've signed up for and have yet to touch. Urgh. |

| That's fine Boris, and i'd like to say: The set premise is currently... Kinda... Not-completely existent. I'm workin' on it, so it may take a while. If you join, and don't like it then just PM me sayin' you quit, I don't really care either way. Just tryin' to find an RP to jump into and given 'Our Solemn Our' seems to have died like so many before it, might as well try a new idea right? My profile may be up later today, or this weekend hopefully... Yeah, stuff. |

The moon thread that Rani created was literally ABOUT to finish, and then everybody just kinda stopped... It's a shame, that was a great thread too. Almost died at least four times and then picked back up, I enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm hopin' this finishes, but we'll see.
Still in the works on my profile, got other things to do as well so that will MOST LIKELY be up tonight or tomorrow. Character design kinda pisses me off, it always feels like several of my characters are the same, looking wise anyways. |

Here's my bio, like I said. A little late then I expected, but I was busy calling upon my "connections" in White Dot for some free milkshakes. Love havin' friends in places like White Dot,Subway, and WaWa. It's the shit. Anyways, here's the picture, I guess... Um... Enjoy?:
Name: Memphis Knok
Alias: 'Knock', or 'Crank' (his favorite book)
Age: 24
Power: Mage, energy color is light blue
Appearance: long messy blond hair, wears a fingerless glove on his right hand, a black zip up hoodie and a skull shirt underneath. Blue jeans with a large skull patch on the right leg with several other patches to fix up holes he's gotten over the years. Wears black sneakers, and has a tattoo on his left wrist. Orange eyes, tanned skin.
Weapon: Hands
Favorite Ability: The "Raw Energy" power that very few mages are born with. Entering a stage of battle awareness, releasing pure energy from the soul through another element or living tissue. Passing energy through living tissue is normally considered an act of cruelty due to the pain it brings. Energy combusts soon after leaving the element, or once it feeds off the systems of living tissue.
Abilities: can control basic elements (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, (HEART! GO PLANET! Joking... Couldn't resist), etc. Has the most difficulty controlling Earth) and is currently experimenting with drawing power from other beings/anything with energy (trees, bug life, animals, etc). He knows several shielding abilities and a few energy leaching spells. He is currently spending most of his time attempting to control time. Most mages find it a waste and hazard to the world to tinker with time control
History: Born and raised in Briden (Bry-din) Town, a community based mainly upon mages. Rarely they breed a warrior, but of course it is needed. Has never been attacked due to the fact that he is apparently the "Next Great Mage" though he doubts that very much. Upon turning 18 he got the tattoo on his left wrist of the arrows, an old mage symbol (equivalent of the Yin Yang) that showed that everything you do somehow effects another thing in life.
Etc: Has always been the "Misfit" of the group, and is considered an outsider. Doesn't much like physical confrontation, and has a record of using magic to solve his problems despite the fact that this is frowned upon in the magic world. He pretends like he doesn't care, although he actually does very much. |

| Come up with a solid setting and plot, and mebe I'll join. I just wanna see what is and isn't allowed story-wise. Don't wanna be a gun blaster if everyone else is a mage. |

Gun blaster is completely allowed, anything is pretty much allowed except the obvious (Demi-God for example). As long as you're mortal, it's fine. You don't even have to be a human if you don't want, any gifts or powers (justified) that you so choose to have is fine with me, and if you are worried that it's not acceptable then just PM me and ask.
Just remember, obviously each specialty will have it's downfalls. If you're a gun blaster you won't use magic obviously and so you're at that downfall. Mages require the use of energy, big is somewhat slower (depending), etc. You know the deal, I know this isn't your first RP, any of you. Just do what you feel is natural, and it's fine. I'm still workin' on the plot, not a lot comin' to me at the moment. |

Just wondering, are you making this into a full-blown Sci-Fi, or is it to be a medieval-type fantasy? I wouldn't really want to hack and slash with swords when my cybernetic döppelganger can fight with his rocket launcher and supercharged laser beams.
Because from personal experience, "Ye Olde" magic doesn't really mix well with "X-TREME" SCI-FI TECKNOLOGY -- remember how a certain roleplayer included robotics and technology in Golden Wishes? I do, and it was a hideous experience.
If you're planning to blend elements of both fantasy subgenres, allow me to humbly suggest you into glancing at a steampunk-esque setting, where civilization is simultaneously advanced and backwards enough to make it possible. Of course, being a style of its own, the inclusion of both magic and technology are somewhat limited for the sake of credibility.
Well, Jersey, that remains that it's your roleplay and in the end, it's all up to you. Just thought I'd throw my thoughts out there. |

Yeah, i've always liked that type of world anyways Boris. The point is well taken, and personally I don't care if it's MY RP, I love people contributing to plot lines and such. I like that a lot more then having to create everything and tell you how it is. If you have an idea, then say it, i'd love to hear other creative sides.
But yes, that was kinda the world I was planning on. Pretty much not medieval, but to the fact that it's not today's world. Not everything is built on, and things are somewhat older. Nature is much more in-tune with people rather then people living with nature around them. Technology is very advanced, though things like cars and such are pretty much outta the price range of a mage (yes cars and such, any type of vehicle you chose). So mages use wagons and horses. Much much cheaper.
The mages don't really believe that technology is a good thing, they much prefer the older ways of handling things. Using the energy of oneself while obviously scientists and gun blasters and techno freaks love the idea of creating things.
That's pretty much the image in my head. If you'd like to contribute, then fee free to. I'd enjoy it actually. PM me or just post it here, it's all good. |

| Don't get me wrong, I'm totally for midievel scenario and all. The gun-blaster thing was just an example. I'd totally be a mage, for sure. |
