Weird, not something I was expecting to happen... A Cartoon Network MMORPG. Soon as I dug this up I figured RRN might appreciate a heads up at the idea of an online RPG with the possibility of a PPG/RRB cameo in it. So here I am. |

I wish I could say I saw it coming; but I didn't.
A Warcraft MMORPG is something obvious.
A Starcraft MMORPG is a dream.
A DBZ MMORPG is kinda surprising.
But what's a CN MMORPG...? |

There are pics of HIM and the professor in the gallery. I'm sure the girls will be in it too! Iunno what they're gonna look like; looks like even the KND characters are getting revamped for this. Man, looks too good to be true.... |

| They were talking about this long ago, never expected it to actually become a reality. Quite interesting... |

As long as they don't pull any of that tired anime shit they always seem to have in MMORPGs (either that, or it's tired high fantasy shit), I'm in.

| It's not the real Cartoon Network universe, it's the anime-tized CN universe. Big difference. |

Ya I'm bumping an old thread... but with a totally good reason. Beta testing is starting so most likely a lot of new information is about to get leaked. And, inevitably, the general public will get in to test how much the servers can handle anyway. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.
And Eddy is really really really REALLY creepy. That alone was worth bumping.

What I'm really looking forward to in this game is the style of play. They're targeting a demographic that gets bored easily, so I'm really hoping I won't have to do the exact same thing over and over again like you're forced to do in other MMORPGs. From what I understand, it looks more like a platformer, what all with all the jumping and stuff. It'll definitely be worth checking out.
Conversely, you can't help but wonder what the fanbase for this game will be like. I'm imagining shitloads of 10-15 yr. old n00bs. Most mature gamers are out playing other, more serious games like Tabula Rasa and WOW (with the exception of a handful of complete morons who are out wasting their money on the grind-tastic City of Heroes).
Game looks fun. Fanbase will probably make me cringe. |

My only "beef" if you will is the character you create. Customizing is sweet, but the thing I was hoping for would be to be one of the Ben Ten monsters, have Ben Tenison as your trainer. That'd be sick, and just fun in general.
Frankly, being a genius and creating gadets to help me would be sick as well. Dexter would be a great teacher |
