The City of Townsville…

Normally, a place full of life and happiness, but sadly during the last five years it appears to be nothing but just another forgotten city. Townsville only got media attention just recently, but not the kind of media attention that everybody was hoping for…

“Sir! What is your opinion on this soon to be tragedy?! Are you planning to evacuate?”

A middle aged man was stopped on the sidewalk as a female reporter with a busty chest shoved a microphone to his face. He stopped and stared at her with hopeless eyes, then continued on his way.

“There you have it folks!” The reporter turned towards the camera. “It appears the City of Townsville has lost ALL hope! Townsville’s park volcano is due to erupted any day now, and the earthquakes continue to shake the ground in this humble town. Will scientists find a way to stop this terrible natural disaster? Tune in at 11pm, to find out!”

The camera cut, and the news crew began to pack up their van to leave.

“I’m thinking that I should shed a few tears on the next natural disaster report, what do you think, Frank?”

“Hey… I’m just the camera guy.”

As soon as all the equipment was in the news van, they sped off, with no second thought about the doomed City of Townsville. Nobody really seemed to give a shit about this place since the Powerpuff girls ‘turned their backs on them.’ It was sad really… Well, more like pathetic. Yeah, let’s go with pathetic.

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE…

Another earthquake submerged, the earths crust began to crack open, the pavement on the road caved in and the news van had no time to stop. The van was gobbled up in almost a blink of an eye. The earthquake stopped, and the town was silent once more.

She stood firmly on an old abandoned roof-top, arms crossed, and eyes fixed on where the earth swallowed the van and the people inside of it.

“Pity… I was planning to watch that news report.”

She looked up at the sky and sighed as she took flight, slowly floated over Townsville, and eventually landed on the bridge that separated Townsville from Citysville. Normally, something like this wouldn’t be bothering her. I mean, she can just fly at super fast speed to escape the eruption, and start a new life somewhere else. But the whole situation seemed way too familiar for her to ignore, it’s almost like this happened before, in some way or another.

“I have a feeling… that I’m going to get dragged into this somehow…”

"Townsville... A dead end town... What were you doing here Dad?" Pyro, only inheriting that name from his father's so called "greatness", he Dad was told to be a warrior who had lived for centuries, and had a gift of something called "chakra" that his son had not inherited. His pyrokinesis was a gift passed down from his father, and his mother's ability to shapeshift was a lesser gene in his stream that he had learned to activate. He wondered if chakra was something that could be brought out too, but he would have to find his father to learn the abilities and dangers of it. "You weren't looking for her, you were running... From me."

Pyro had always heard from his father when he was young of the greatness of his brothers, a man of blue chakra and a man of green chakra, they fought and battled, and he could never tell if his father was full of shit or not. He claimed meeting his mother on a mission to destroy a man who had brought such evil to the world that he had to be stopped, and the devastating powers that a bracelet could grant one person, and his team of assassins that obtained it. His father was full of stories, but the most ridiculous of them had to be that of the Fire Gods, the sort of "guild" his father claimed to be in, and the stories of having his brother as a great general of the Fire Gods, roaming the earth causing destruction and finally falling to the power of the pesants of the earth. He always said his greatest downfall is that he didn't grab Mom when he had the chance.

Pyro stood up on the edge of the building, cracking his knuckles and throwing down his hood as he leaped off, stepping onto the flag pole of another building and taking off. He picked up speed and launched his body between the buildings always wondering whether or not he could possibly be destined for something like his father was. How could he be though? His father had more then a millenia to do what he did, Pyro only had one life time. It seemed impossible to live up to something as big as his father, and just the idea of it weighted greatly on his shoulders.

"One day, i'll catch up to you, and i'll learn what's going on." He launched his body in an arc and grabbed a hold of the side of a much taller building, his legs scrambling to gain balance as he pushed himself up. He perched on the edge of the building looking into the dead city of Townsville before he sighed and flipped his hood back up. It was a hard thing to realize, that a town was destined to be doomed, and maybe if he had the power of his father, he would stay and maybe help save it.

"HELP!" Rang through the night as Pyro turned and bolted towards the sound of the noise, he crept slowly above the buildings looking into the alleyways of Townsville and crouched low on the edge of a rather tall building. A mugger, and a woman, scrambling to be free of his grasp. He smiled as he ripped her shirt open, a rapist... "HELP ME PLEASE!" She screamed as he caught her hands pelting him. Then Pyro flipped his legs down and scrambled down the side of the building, landing and raming a sharp blade into the man's top vertabrae and covering his mouth. The woman fell to the ground as Pyro removed the blade and it sleakly retracted to his wrist guards. He dropped the man and looked to the woman scurrying for her belongings that had obviously spilled out of her purse.

"Don't worry, I'm one of the good guys... I suppose." Always one for theatrics. She nodded and muttered the words 'thank you' without ever actually saying anything as Pyro turned and bolted up the side of the wall, pulling himself over and crouching on top of the building. Townsville was in need of a lot of help, it wouldn't be too long before the volcano in the middle of Townsville errupted, and where would the people be then? They needed a hero. "They need somebody like my father." He muttered to himself. "I suppose I could try, but how am I supposed to match up to a man the size of a bulldozer and the strength of a God? It just doesn't seem possible."

Once a busy section of the city, the warehouse district was now nothing more than a shadow of its former self. In plain sight, nobody could be seen. Warehouses all differed in their appearences, some with their doors locked, others with their doors wide open. A few ships rested lifelessly near the port that the warehouses were located. they bobbed up and down peacefully, but lifelessly. Everything was quiet.

But not for long.

Suddenly, there was an arc of powerful electricity in front of one of the warehouses. Is shot out of what appeared to be nowhere and struck a nearby forklift, throwing it back instantly. A few seconds passed and another arc shot out damaging the warehouse door. More and more, electric arcs began to appear. Standing afar, one could see that the arcs seemed to form a dome-like shape. The increased power of the arcs left anything near them charred or destroyed. Finally, the mysterious dome of electricity took undisputable form, and a bright flash of light exploded from within.

....

The phenomenon was over. There was no more electricity. No more dome. Just a large, scorched patch of cement where the strange activity took place. But there was something else that was different about that spot.

"....Are we there yet?"

There were three beings standing in the place that the strange lightshow had occured. Upon closer look, there were three, young, anthropomorphic beings, each wearing similar yet differently colored clothes. They each had a pair of black pants, with a spot of color on their pockets, as well as a similarly styled long-sleeve shirt, with a black stripe travelling horizontally in the middle. Each of the three shirts had a different color, brown, grey, and orange. They had the same hair color, yet each one had a different hair style, and all three had a large, squirrel-like tail.

"Affirmative...." said the one with the grey shirt to the one with the orange shirt, "we're here."

The one in brown looked around.

"It....worked? It worked! IT WORKED IT WORKED IT WORKED IT WORKED IT WORKED IT WORKED IT WORKED IT WORKED!"

The grey-shirted one turned to him angrily. "Silence Groundhog! You want to give our position away to everyone in the city?!"

The orange-shirted one smirked.

"Oh, give him a break Gundi. Look around, there's no one here."

Gundi, the one in grey, turned to the one in orange.

"Perhaps not, Gopher" he said, "but that doesn't mean that the city is void of life. No, the records indicated that most of the population fled after the first great crisis of Townsville. However, the city is still in the hands of it's remaining population. These are the people who didn't have the ability to leave, or were too stubborn to do so."

"OH! LET'S HAVE THEM OVER FOR DINNER!"

Gopher and Gundi both turned to Groundhog.

"I think he means, let's go make ourselves known" said Gopher.

"Absolutely out of the question. We're operating under a low-key basis here. We didn't come back all this way just to be defeated by our own stupid mistakes."

Gopher looked puzzled.

"Mistakes? Dude! You're talking like there might be someone in this dump who could actually beat us or something! Last time I checked, the Powerpuff Girls were--"

"BLOSSOM! BUBBLES! AND BUTTERCUP! Using their ultra-super powers they've dedicated their lives to fighting crime....AND THE FORCES OF EVIL!"

Gopher just stared at Groundhog. "Do you have to do that EVERY time one of us says Powerpuff Girls?"

Groundhog's pupils shrunk.

"BLOSSOM! BUBBLES! AND BUTTER--"

He didn't get a chance to finish the line, as Gundi hit him over the head. Groundhog made a sad puppy face at him.

"Oww...."

"And yes, the Powerpuff Girls ARE fighting the forces of evil....In Tokyo. According to the records, they were absolutely concerned with the well-being of this city, their original home, and nearly came back in the middle of their quest to stop the greater evils of Japan. The only thing stopping them was reassurance from the national guard and FEMA that the city would be rebuilt and restored."

"So....the government." Gopher said. "We have to worry about the government?"

"Well, as all three of us can attest, the world's governments have no means to combat us. HOWEVER! let's not forget that the Powerpuff Girls aren't complete fools. Blossom, their leader, is keeping up-to-date on the city's reconstruction. If she finds out that there is a team of super-powered beings running amok in the city, she may bring her own team in to intervene. THAT. WILL. NOT. HAPPEN."

"And here I was thinking time-travel would be fun...." Gopher remarked, snapping his fingers.

"We move under the radar," Gundi continued, "going about our grand scheme, and fighting only when we have to. If in the RARE event that we meet someone who can even remotely stand against our power, we do away with them quick, and clean. We work as a team. Is that understood?"

"For sure." Gopher said, rolling his eyes. Groundhog raised his hand. Gundi closed his eyes and brought his hand to his forehead.

"Yes, Groundhog?"

"What about giant, enemy crabs?"

Gopher was about to laugh, until he saw what Groundhog was seeing. Gundi didn't seem to notice.

"What ABOUT--"

"GIANT ENEMY CRAB!" Gopher screamed, knocking Gundi out of the way. No sooner had he done so, a massive, razor-sharp claw came crashing down where he had once been standing. Gundi got to his feet and eyed the source of Groundhog's outburst. Sure enough, he was looking at a giant, enemy....crab. He narrowed his eyes.

"Attack formation delta three...."

Program BLAIR activated

In a small room with just a table, a chair, a bed and some dolls and books, a small girl was laying on the hard bed, tossing and turning a little bit.

Blair....Can you see...? The voice would not stop, it pestered the girl, bothered her...that little girl's voice...who was she...?

The door opened, and a man in a labcoat with slight dirty blonde hair and blue eyes walked up to the small girl, and kneeled down, lightly stroking her hair.

"You must not disturb her, Doctor. That experiment may still have some side effects on her." another man in a lab coat muttered, looking at the other. The doctor looked at him wearily.

"Marlan...why do we have to keep testing her...we already known what she is capable of can't we just get her a normal life--"

"A girl created in a lab with psychic abilities to have a normal life? Impossible. Besides, would you like our little princess to get injured...?"

"....No...."

"Then we will keep her here...safe from the dangerous reality of the world...until she is ready." Marlan then left, and the doctor sighed, looking softly at the small girl who slept in uneasiness and pain. "Blair...."

A couple of cars passed her by as they crossed the city bridge. That’s just a few more people who came to there senses and decided to evacuate. After awhile, an uncomfortable silence settled over the City of Townsville. The clock tower chimed 11 ‘o clock Pm, but the young girl with long brown hair didn’t move an inch. She stood firm with her arms crossed, and her eyes narrowed.

“Don’t you have any friends you can hang out with? That’s all you ever do, stare into space…”

She turned around and perked a brow as she saw a girl with purple hair, and grey eyes standing there.

“Bitter… What are you doing here?”

“What? No welcome wagon?” Bitter smirked smugly.

“I’ll ask you again, what are you doing--”

“Actually, Bang, I should be asking YOU that question. What are YOU doing here?” Bitter narrowed her eyes and walked in front of Bang so that she could look her into the eyes… erm, eye. “Don’t tell me you’ve completely shut me and Belle out of your life… The Brattybad girls have only been apart for 2 months now. Aren’t you tired of being mad at us? Belle and I have made peace with each other, why can’t you?”

“Oh don’t worry, I already forgave you too for being weak and stupid. I just think it’s better if the strong stands alone.”

Bitter growled and grabbed Bang by her shirt, and lifted her in the air. She had a short temper, but all Bang had to show for it was a big cheesy grin.

“YOU FOOL! I came back to get you out of this town before it explodes!”

“Aw, you came back for little old me?” Bang batted her eyes, and put a hand to her cheek. “Aren’t you a sweetie?”

Bitter grinded her teeth and dropped Bang on the ground.

“Fine, you know what? Screw you! We don’t need you.” Bitter swiftly turned around and prepared to fly off, but before she did, she slowly looked over her shoulder to her ex-teammate. “… But if you ever decide to return to the team, just watch the news. Belle and I are wanderers now; we go from town to town. Just remember that.”

“Whatever.”

Bitter lifted off as a grey trail fallowed behind her, and pretty soon… She was gone. Bang crossed her arms and sighed as she lifted off into the air as well, flew towards the clock tower and sat down on the ‘big hand.’

“Well… I guess I’ll--”

She stopped in mid-sentence as she spotted a big building far into the east, that appeared to have a weird light show going on inside. But the only colors that seemed to stand out was orange, grey, and brown.

“What the hell…”

A group of research scientists were working steadily near the volcano, it was indeed getting more and more active and more violently so by the hour, but it still wasn't dangerous enough to clear the area. Most everyone in the city had already given up hope and evacuated, and since the volcano was expected to go off that day a majority of the research team had evacuated. All that were left were four of the original twenty. Susan Corriea, Tom Kane, Kath Soucie, and one Skid Mark.

"I'm making a quick supply run, the volcano is taking a lot longer than we thought it would." Skid sighed, pulling on his heavy jacket. "Any requests?" By supply run, what Skid really meant was take stuff from what was left of the mass looting that broke out around the city.

"Grape soda!" "Candy bars!" "Pizza!" All the stuff you could get from a convenience store slash gas station, most likely all the cheap kind of stuff no one wants. Skid gave a thumbs up in acknowledgment and pulled a backpack onto his back, a very familiar feeling.

"I'll be back soon then, going to T.J.'s." Skid let himself out, pushing the tent's cloth opening aside. The sky was a deep red, it was ominous but appropriate. The researchers that stayed behind had grown up in this city and refused to leave until the bitter end, save for Skid. He was around when Townsville was built, but that’s a story for another time.

Skid jumped onto his motorcycle, and roared down the road towards the convenience store two miles away. As he rode, he thought through the plans that had been hatched to save the city. The most promising of them all was the idea of emptying the moat around the volcano and digging a trench to lead the lava into the ocean. However, during the digging process, the volcano suddenly became drastically more violent in nature and crevasses swallowed the diggers and their machines whole. It was the starting event that triggered the evacuation of the city.

"EEEEEK!" Skid's eyes widened and he fumbled with the handle bars. A little girl had just run out of an alleyway right in front of him. He was going too fast and twisted the bars too hard, and spun out, missing the girl by inches. However, he did hit someone. Hard. Skid flew off his bike and into the brick wall of a building, and his bike smashed into pieces elsewhere.

He began to pick himself up off the sidewalk, and the little girl had continued to run away. She was long gone. What Skid saw though despite the horrible pain in his body, was the mangled corpse he had ridden over. He probably should have felt guilty, but from the ripped dress of the young girl and the look this guy wore before he realized he was about to die, there was obviously nothing to feel bad about.

Skid leaned against the wall, and slid down into a sitting position, waiting for the pain to leave his body. It didn't take too long by letting the chakra run through his body, however it did leave him hungry. It just meant he would have to make the rest of the trip on foot. So he picked himself up, and started walking. He would have gone by jumping from roof top to roof top but obviously not enough people had left the city just yet for him to be making a scene. “I can’t believe this… I just finished payments on that bike…” He buried his fists in his jacket pockets, and picked up the pace. There was no telling what kinds of souls were left behind in the cesspool called Townsville.

A few blocks away a motorcycle wrecked, and Pyro knew that there was a slim chance anybody was alive given the chaos that was running around here. He turned and began to walk the opposite way when his eye caught a streak of orange color that had faded out in the distance, and instantly he crouched and drew his blade. The town was in chaos, anything could be happening at any moment and it's not something he was really in the mood to gamble on.

With the city a wreck, the people in it crazy, and these heroes he had heard of called 'The Powerpuff Girls' now gone, he wondered where some kind of police force, or the government would stand on the City of Townsville. Obviously they couldn't do much, it would be impossible, because as much as they can help they have other things to take care of more then one city doomed by a volcano.

"Where to next?" Pyro looked through the landscape view he had from the rooftops and saw smoke one way, most likely the motorcycle wreck, and then a fire to the right. He chose the fire. As he ran across the roof tops he took it a custom to jump to large ground whenever the opportunity granted itself. He needed a birds eye view to get get everything in the city memorized, and so each large building was a vantage point for him. With his feet scurrying he ran across half the city, memorizing every nook and cranny he came by, until he reached the fire.

It burned brilliantly as people stood on the outsides screaming and looking up at the skyscraper. People fell out of the building windows, obviously deciding that plummeting to their death would be better then suffocated once the fire ripped all the oxygen from around their heads. Pyro stepped forwards towards the building doors and smashed in the glass, walking into the building and throwing down his hood to allow for more vision. The fire had come from a gas heater in the basement, he could feel the hottest part of the fire and knew it was just time until the entire building was beyond saving. Time to apply what Dad taught me

He closed his mind and placed one hand on the floor, his father was amazing at his pyrokinesis, to the point that he could mix it with his endurance and light himself completely on fire, Pyro Jr. had never matched that aspect. There was a skill that his father taught him, he called it the heart of the flame, and it could determine the type of fire that burned. He left his mind, and drove it to the basement where the fire had originated, and began to sooth it. It burned quietly now, slowly dropping until it was nothing, and that's when Pyro struck it out. He stood up slowly as to not awaken he fire again, and then banished it completely. "Looks like Dad wasn't joking when he said fire was alive.. I always thought he was crazy what with his talk of living fire, talking imps, and a pet phoenix."

"This is First Force Recon, we're moving towards the target area!"

Three large transport helicopters zoomed towards downtown Townsville. Four gunships flew with them, escorting them towards their target destination. The choppers made their way to the warehouse district where reports of a "slipper" had been sighted. Upon arrival, these helicopters came upon the so-called slipper.

"Lt. Auburn to command, we have the target in visual! Commencing combat drop!"

The transport choppers each formed a triangular formation around a large, monster crab-like creature. The gunships broke off contact and began patrolling the nearby area. Ropes then began flying from the sides of each transport, and marines began rappelling down. These weren't just any marines, however. These marines came equipped with anti-super weaponry. Shoulder-mounted plasma cannons, single-shot assault rifles with antidote-X rounds, and other anti-monster weapons. The marines carefully approached the crab monster.

"Stay frosty, marines....", Auburn said quietly in her headset.

The crab was dead. No, that would be an understatement. More specifically, the crab was mangled, it's limbs torn and thrown around, and large holes were found all around as if someone had been happily shooting away at it with a particle cannon. It was almost cruel how badly the monster had died.

"What happened to it?" One of the marines asked, as the team approached and analyzed the situation. "Did the navy beat us to the punch?"

Auburn responded, "Negative. The fleet is still positioned between the city and Monster Island. So far they've been using the newly developed super weapons to great effect, and have been able to fight off or kill most of the monsters that tried to leave the island. However, they can't leave their position so they can't just chase these things."

Auburn was now close to the dead monster. Green ooze drooled gently down its open mandibles, nearly staining Auburn's long, black hair.

"Something else got to it."

As her marines began placing desintegration charges around the monster, Auburn noticed something off to the side. Three, moderately sized holes lay in the street not too far from the monster. She began walking towards them, with her high-powered command-issue railgun in hand, aimed towards them. These holes didn't seem to fit with the style of damage done all around the city. In fact, it seemed like something burrowed its way down here, and with the light smoke emitting from the holes, it was recent. She was about to inform Command of her findings when--

"Force Recon, survivers have been spotted in the commercial district. Round up and head over there for extraction ASAP! Coordinates will be sent en route."

"Alright, you heard 'em, let's move out! Civilians take priority marines! This town isn't hopeless yet!" Auburn said as she turned from the holes and made her way back to the chopper, as did her marines. The transports were rejoined by their gunship escorts and all choppers in the area began heading off towards another part of the city. As they flew away, the D-charges went off around the crab, disintegrating every piece of it, leaving behind a thin, black powder where a giant monster once lie. Lt. Auburn sat uncomfortably in her seat, concerned over what she didn't know. But like she said to her brothers-in-arms, there were still plenty of good people in the city, and the government wasn't about to give up on them anytime soon.

....

Miles away from this scene, a small rumbling took place in a city park. Unlike the volcano's rumblings, these were quieter and more concentrated. Suddenly, three beings shot up from the ground, fists in the air as if they were flying. They landed softly and gracefully on the grass as the choppers flew over them, failing to notice anything. The Rodentruff Boys watched the choppers fly away. Groundhog started waving at them.

"There is still a military presence in this city," Gundi informed his brothers, "which is why we need to avoid detection at all times. They'll be busy with rescuing missions, obviously, and simply do not have the means to hunt us down. They are no threat to us and we must not change that."

Gopher turned to the brains of the group. "Fine, you got a point." he said, and then he smiled. "Now what?"

"Now....phase 1."

Something was defiantly going on. It didn’t take very long for the marines, as well as helicopters, and gunships to appear in downtown Townsville. Bang, who was still sitting on Townsville’s clock tower, was trying to figure out what the hell was going on. She narrowed her eyes, and bit on her bottom lip slightly as she thought about it… Why are the marines still here? You would think the government would reassign the marines to another town or possibly state. But maybe the government wasn’t just ‘giving up’ like some people might have assumed. Obviously, the government wasn’t ready to give up, and neither were the marines…

Bang looked up and floated off the tower and into the air. She turned around, and stared at the volcano as well as some tents a few scientists set up a couple miles away. They were still studying the volcano’s activity, and since nobody was running away with their arms thrown up in the air, it would be assumed that Townsville would live through the night. Bang yawned and looked towards Citysville.

“Might as well sleep, I guess…”

Taking a last look at the volcano, she noticed something… odd submerging from the ground. She squinted her eyes, and flew down a bit lower to get a better look… There appeared to be three young boys, in matching but different colored outfits…

“Is that the… Rowdyruff boys?”

~-~-~

“You… You stupid cootie infested girls! How dare you!” Brick, the leader of the Rowdyruff boys, growled. He appeared to be badly beaten, while his brothers laid next to him, unconscious.

Bitter narrowed her eyes and glanced over at her teammates, Belle and Bang.

“Did he just call me what I think he called me?”

“Yeah… I think he did.” Bang said, getting a smug look on her face. “Looks like he still doesn’t know his place in this town.” Bang stuck her foot under his chin and lifted his head so she could peer into his eyes. “Do you?”

“Oh! Oh!” Belle said, trying to get the idea she thought of into words. “Let’s teach them another lesson! Can we please? Huh? Please??”

“I don’t think that’s necessary, I think The Rowdyruff boys know who’s running this town now.” Bang looked back to Brick and smirked. “Don’t you? Yes… I think you know. Who’s running this town now, Brick?”

He was silent…

Bang narrowed her eyes and grabbed a handful of his hair, and yanked his head back as she got into his face.

“I said… Who is running this town?”

“The… The…”

“WHO IS RUNNING THIS TOWN?!”

“The… Brattybad girls…”

Bang pushed him back on the ground and crossed her arms.

“Damn straight, now take your brothers and get the hell out of my town. I don’t EVER want to see your ugly mugs around here again.”

~-~-~

Bang shook her head, snapping out of her little ‘flashback’ sequence.

“No, it couldn’t be…”

She took another look, and saw that these particular boys had different color coordination’s then The Rowdyruff boys. They all had the same hair color, and appeared to be… covered in fur?

Bang raised a brow, slowly made her way to a near by building and then landed on its roof. She peered over the edge to observe what these strange ‘furries’ were going to do next. She didn’t want to pick a fight with them…. yet.

Pyro leaped through the building tops until he perched at the top of a building right in front of the park. There you could see the active volcano that was giving the town so much trouble, trees that were once more vibrant and beautiful then now, and now strange things happening around the area. What looked like three animals dressed up in clothes stood tall and looked around, as if to be recognized. The military was making the places stand out more then ever specifically because of the helicopters climbing up and dropping and swooping through the air. Who, in this large commotion, would notice a girl hop up and fly to the top of a building and stare at the three animals as if suspecting some for of fowl play? Pyro, he noticed.

He stood tall and watched from under his hood, hands dangling by his sides he placed one on his short sword and the other on his waist before turning abruptly and making his way around the park roof tops. Right around the park the buildings varied from small to large very quickly, and finding points to work your way up walls was quite hard. Most were brick, aside for the occasional shack containing very disgruntled homeowners and with boomsticks.

He had to scale walls using small bricks that were placed off center or just moved over the years to that position. He pushed and pulled until he reached the top of the building directly next to the one of the little girl who had some how flown up to the rooftop. He took a step back and then dove, hitting the ground and rolling forwards back up onto his feet to make his fall less impactful. She turned as he stepped up and threw up a fist, making Pyro duck and both wrist blades slid out as he got ready to fight.

"Who are you?" she asked, keeping her distance.

"I was about to ask you the same question." Pyro replied.

"My name is Bang..." She said hesitantly.

"Thomas Masterson." He replied. "But they call Pyro." Her eyes glinted as if the name 'Pyro' meant something, but it faded quickly. She obviously had thought she heard the name somewhere, and realized that she hadn't. They looked at each other for several moments before Pyro retracted the blades in his wrist guards and stood up straight, removing his hood. "How is it that you can fly?"

"Are you serious?" She laughed as if flying was an everyday event. For her, apparently it was. "You're not from Townsville are you?" Pyro shook his head back and forth slightly. "Where are you from?"

"That is not important... You're one of them.. Those, Powerpuff Girls." Bang laughed at this comment as Pyro eyed her up, she didn't seem to have any type of weaponry on her, but nobody ever saw Pyro's weapons until they died, so he couldn't be fully sure she was safe to approach. "So, you want to tell me a bit about this 'Townsville' place? I'm new here."

All three of the Rodentruff Boys had small, black devices in their hands. From up close, it would appear like the devices were some kind of holographic mini-map projectors. From up close, each one had red dots plotted. It seemed that Gundi was speaking to the other two as they were staring at the maps.

"And lastly, once we have the components necessary for the K.S.D., we will meet at Mojo's old lair, at the top of the volcano. And please, feel free to hurry. I'd like to complete our objective BEFORE the volcano erupts and melts the place along with everyone else."

"What's a K.S.D.?", she asked herself quietly.

That's when someone else showed up on the same rooftop she was on.

"Who are you?" she asked, keeping her distance.

"I was about to ask you the same question.", the young man replied.

Identifying himself as Pyro, the two exchanged brief words. Back at the park, Gundi narrowed his eyes. As he did, he held his out his hand, and it began to glow with yellow energy. Amazingly, the energy began to take the form of a pick-axe. Gopher looked at Gundi with a strange look, but then he realized what Gundi was up to.

"Happy hunting..." He said, turning and running away at great speed, leaping on cars with grace and finess as he traveled out of sight.

"Thbdyyyyyy....thbdyyyyy.....thbdyyyyy....THAT'S ALL FOLKS!" Groundhog exclaimed, jumping up and shooting himself back into the ground, traveling in a different direction, leaving a trail of cracked earth in his wake. Gundi stood silent, with the pick-axe in his hand.

"Don't take this personal," Gundi said, seemingly to himself, "but you've heard too much". Bang looked at him unbelievingly from afar.

Huh? Who's he talking to now?

Suddenly it hit her. If he's a super-being like her then his hearing must be good. Good enough to hear even a whisp--

CRAP!

Pyro looked at Bang, whose personality seemed to change to that of surprise. And not the good kind. Suddenly, Gundi threw the glowing pick-axe behind him with all his might. It glided quickly through the air like a boomerang towards Pyro and Bang. From Gundi's view, the pick-axe hit the building's rooftop, destroying whatever it collided with a loud BOOM. The top floor of the building was decimated, smoke and dust exploding out towards the sky. Assuming he had done away with whoever was spying on him, he turned the opposite direction and began to leave the scene. The pick-axe came gliding back, and he caught it without even looking. Once in his hands, it glowed and melted back into yellow energy, disappearing completely.

"That takes care of that." he said to himself, assuming whoever had been spying on him had just been destroyed. However....

However as the object flew towards the duo on the rooftop, Pyro looked at Bang with strangeness in his eyes. She was confusing him, speaking to somebody else as if they were invisible, and as hidden as you can be nobody can become invisible... Well, nobody short of chakra users Pyro assumed. She stared off into the distance, and once Pyro followed her gaze he realized what was going on. Some sort of glowing energy was hurling towards him, and as he scurried and dove across the rooftop he latched himself onto the edge of the next building and pulled himself over the ledge. Ducking and covering his head he could only hope that Bang had gotten out of the scrap alive. The girl showed promise and impressive skill, something he needed in a teammate.

The explosion hit as the energy released upon crashing into the rooftop, causing the brick and cement to fly into the air along with dust and debris. It was a ridiculous explosion and surely had alerted somebody. Whoever had created the energy obviously had no intentions of staying hidden, and so Pyro knew they would have no problem killing those around them.

Pyro pushed himself to his feet and bolted, jumping up onto the ledge of the building he was on and running across it before diving as a large chunk of debris smashed into the building he once stood on. But where's the Bang? he wondered, looking around.

"Don't worry, I'm right here." He turned and saw Bang, staring off towards the source of the energy and ducking down, completely serious now. Pyro crouched with her, placing one hand on the ground to assure his balance in a three point stance and with one arm on his knee.

"Somebody wants us dead." Pyro told her.

"Shh," she hurriedly told him, "They can hear you."

"Who?" He questioned. "I don't know what's going on, but I don't like Townsville much." Bang stood up and looked out into the park as the helicopter blades whirled lower and the spotlights came. "We have to go, come on..." She wouldn't move. "COME ON!" Pyro screamed and snapped her out of her trance like state as he jumped to the opposing rooftop, and began to sprint for houses in the distance. Bang took off down into the alleyways and began to run, each not quite knowing where they were going to be going. Something powerful had just happened, and Pyro didn't know quite who was behind it, not a feeling he liked.

The sun was going down, and a faint wind blew around the broken shell of the once great city of Townsville. Nevertheless, Gopher kept running along his way, making sure to stay out of the open in the crazy event that there were people who were looking around. He could hear a small explosion in the distance, and figured it was Gundi's handiwork. He must have already silenced whoever was eavesdropping. At least, maybe they were eavesdropping. It's not like Gundi to just execute regular civilians merely because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time. He's laughably over-cautions, for sure, but he isn't paranoid.

Gopher stopped and flew to the top of a small, abandoned building to look at the building that had been attacked. Apparently, two gunships (different from the ones he had seen earlier) had arrived at the scene, their spotlights scanning the area.

"Hahahahaha! Don't tell me that dork got caught! Not after that whole 'low-key-basis' speech!"

Gopher watched the choppers search the area for a moment and then scatter off in random directions. If they were looking for anyone, they didn't find them.

"Heh, I guess not."

Gopher flew back down to the street, being careful not to stand out to anyone who might have been watching the area, and eyed his surroundings. whipping out his portable map, Gopher eyed a little red, blinking dot in the top right corner.

"The Townsville Institute of Technolegy and Science. I'm sure they won't mind if I take a little tour. You know, right into their R&D department!"

A digital projection of some sort of large device was displayed next to the blinking light. That was one of the components Gundi needed for his K.S.D. Gopher turned towards the direction of the institute, with the intention of stealing the device. Then Gopher realized something even more important.

"Dude, I'm THIRSTY."

He looked around for any stores or vending machines. Failing to find any nearby, he made the map device show him where the nearest store was. It displayed one search result in his vicinity.

"T.J.'s....", Gopher said aloud to himself, looking at a picture of a convenience store with gas pumps outside. He put the map device in his cargo pocket, memorizing the way with a smug grin.

"Heh, whaddaya say we pay 'T.J.' a little visit!"

Bang stopped as soon as she felt like she was far enough. She looked over her shoulder and narrowed her eyes, watching as the helicopters flew away into the distance, their search lights still scanning their path. She looked forward once again, and darted her eyes upward as she spotted that ‘Pyro’ kid jumping from house to house. She jumped up, and fallowed him, catching up with him rather quickly… But he didn’t seem to notice until Bang got in the way of his path.

“Whoa! Watch it…” He skidded his heels on the roof of a random house, until he came to a stop.

As soon as he stopped, Bang grabbed him by his shirt and lifted him up in the air, narrowing her eyes.

“You fool, you couldn’t keep your big mouth shut, could you? What the heck were you thinking?!”

Pyro raised a brow, and didn’t seemed bothered by Bang’s strength, but rather surprised. His look of confusion turned into a smug grin…

“Look ‘Bang,’ how was I suppose to know what you were doing? Besides… I didn’t even get a chance to SEE it!”

“Them.” Bang corrected him as she dropped him, and turned around. “There were three of them…”

“Well whatever they were, I’m assuming that they think we’re dead… So it’s not like they’re going to come looking for us.” Pyro stood up and dusted himself off, not phased by Bang’s attempt to threaten him.

“Yes… Let’s keep it that way for now.”

Bang looked off into the distance, as an uneasy silence settled between the two, before Bang finally spoke again. “It’s weird… I can only assume that those three furries are like me.” She turned back to Pyro. “Artificially made, that is. But what’s weird is that I’ve never seen them or even heard about them before. It’s hard to keep a low profile when you have this particular kind of power, thanks to none other then the Powerpuff girls…”

“So, um… What are you implying?” Pyro asked, not quite sure what the hell this girl was talking about.

“I’m saying… It’s odd that the first time we… uh,” She paused and remembered that Pyro said he didn’t see them. “… the first time I see them is in front of the volcano. Do you think…”

Pyro suddenly like a serious look on his face. “Are you saying that they have something to do with why the volcano is acting up?”

Bang shook her head, looked down, and then crossed her arms. “I don’t know…” She said softly.

Can you hear me...?

'That....voice...who are you...?'

I will not harm you, child...

'I can't...can't see you...where are you...?'

Right here..

~~

Blair sat up in fright, looking around in her small room. "...A...A dream...?" the small girl whispered, looking down. She shook her head. "But...that voice was so real..." she muttered, looking down again. Her eyes then widened, and she realized just how...

Quiet it was...

"Where...is everyone...?" she asked herself, getting up and getting off the bed, heading to the door in her nightgown and opening the door. The hallways were absolutely empty; no doctor or nurse in sight.

"Did...everyone go home for today...?" she asked softly, then gasped when a voice went through her ears.

Come to me...we must speak to each other...please Blair...I need you...

And like she she was possessed, she obeyed and followed the voice.
