Hello, everyone. I found RRN while looking for various reference pictures to create an OC of mine. Anyway, I decided to stick around. And, I plan on sticking around longer than a lot of other newbies apparently have; perhaps post up some PPG artwork. I read through every single thread in the "Newbies!" board! [twitch]

At least I know what to expect as my welcome...

Name: Daniel J. Mat____ (I use the fake last name of Mathewson sometimes; I'm smart enough not to use my REAL one online, though)
Birthday: June 2, 1988
Physical Appearance: Caucasian boy with light brown hair and blue eyes.
Dominant Hand: Left
Favorite PPG: Blossom; she's pretty and smart.
Favorite RRB: Boomer; I just feel for the underdog of the Rowdyruffs.
Favorite PPGs Fanfic: Either "Powerpuff Girls D" (even though that's a comic, though that kind of counts as fanfic) or "HER!"
Greatest Talent: Computers and drawing
Worst Talent: Physical strength
Musical tastes: Pretty broad, but hard rock and thrash metal are my LEAST favorites.
Siblings: Amy, who's ten years older than me, married, and has a 10-days-away-from-being-1-year-old son; Maggie, who is around 5 years older than me and just married the beginning of last December. I'm the little brother in the family. ^^

Personality: Generally nice, a bit of a softy, young at heart
Method of Drawing:
- 1. I draw the line art with pencil and sketchbook and scan it into my computer.
- 2. I rotate and crop as necessary in Paint Shop Pro.
- 3. I redraw the line art over in Adobe Fireworks.
- 4. I paste the new line art in Microsoft Paint and color it in there.
- 5. Optional step; I use Photoshop to add any needed special effects.
PPG Ships:
- Dexter Boy Genius / Blossom Utonium (I blame a really epic PPG fan comic on deviantART for this one)
- Mike Believe / Robin Snyder (Herb, for the record, I blame you)
- Boomer Jojo / Buttercup Utonium (I know a lot of people are going to WTF that ship)

That's an interesting post.I never seen a newbie saying what his welcomes would be like. I would probably said the two following quotes:

"Avoid Dark.He's insane" (I think I did say that one)

Hmm..You remind me or myself because my greatest talents are computer & drawing and my worst is sports and Physical Ed.

I hope you stick around,cause usually other newbies don't stick around much.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll handle the insanity as much as I can. As of the moment, I'm working on PPG artwork to post up.

Well, I be looking forward to seeing you post some artwork. I haven't drawn the girls in a long time, maybe I'll pick up the mechanical pencil and draw them some time this weekend.

My latest sketch as an idea of mine as to what the Powerpuff Girls Z character Ken would look like if he had a counterpart on the original series. I ended up using FHfIF's Mac's general structure for inspiration. I have yet to dititalize Kenny and Princess.

Just so everybody knows, I've never actually seen Powerpuff Girls Z. I've only read bits of information about it on the Internet. However, I am interested in the aspect of the Professor having an 8-year-old son.

By the way, out of curiosity, do old members like VaVoom, Eveerin, Tarrsk, Timebomb Sexy, Herb, etc. still hang out around here?

Members like "Timebomb Sexy" and "Tarrsk" don't seemed to post here anymore(They have been quite gone for a looooong time), so I don't know where they are though. As for "VaVoom", she did post here like a few months ago, under the name "Brownie" I believe she'll be back later in the year or so -- not sure. "Eveerin" He doesn't seemed to be here on the forum, but he does have an active deviantart account there though. As for "Herbs", I believed he rarely posts here though(He also has an active Deviantart account btw).

And yeah, welcome to the forums; very decent Introduction that you got there. And please do try to stick around here, cause most of the newbies here do have the tendency to disappear right after they make their introduction threads though.

Another question: if King Moonraiser gets to this introduction thread, any idea why most of the "infobox" links in your fanfics, "HER!" and "Star Crossed" don't work?

As Vic says, VaVoom came back recently and still makes the occasional cameo appearance. I've also seen a few glimpses of someone posting under the Timebomb Sexy name a while ago in the now-gone shout board, but since it could have been anyone, you might as well disregard this.

We do still have a few older members around, some more active than others, but most of the ones with their own pages on the main site were already extinct by the time I joined the site (which was in 2k2).

I still see Moonraiser online every day - he just doesn't post all that much. Sending a PM would be good too.

I disagree. Profiles only show that the newbie in question is currently very interested in the website. It says nothing about whether or not the person will stick around. Long term dedication is something else altogether and can only be proven through the test of time.
