Freaking MySpace
I am ScaryFairy
And I really REALLY hate MySpace. And FaceBook for that matter.
I mean, what are they really for? Collecting untold amounts of strangers? Like some kind of creepy card game? Pokemon gone freaking Ghetto???1
Imagine this...
Hours of collecting one specific type of Sociopath, spending countless days levelling them up. Untold hours of repeating the same damn actions over and over.
"Congratulations, F**ktard has learned Rape, but F**ktard cannot learn more than four moves. Delete a move and learn Rape? YES/NO"
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO??
Sure Rapes a good move. But so is FaceStab. And lets not forget Kidnap, a personal favourite of mine. But luckily, F**ktard does have Flail. We can ditch Flail.
"Congratulations!! F**ktard has learned Rape!!"
Yay for me...
But no matter how long you spend levelling up your favourite Sociopath, some 12 year old, side-parted, button bashing, eye-liner wielding RETARD, is going to KICK YOUR ARSE.
Lets face it. Level 57 F**ktard had no chance against PeEEdoMAn. A Level 1197 ARSEWIPE, owned by 9 year old Sarah, from down the freaking lane.

Yea, I don't really use Myspace anymore. I think I'm getting rid of it soon, for good this time. But you've got it lucky if you have the luxury of collecting those jerks! Me? They fucking come into my page like it's a buffet. "HEY, I'M SEXY AND SINGLE AND LONELY EVEN THOUGH I HAVE 900 FRIENDS ALREADY! ADD MEEEE!" |

I actually do use mine to communicate with people I can't be around that much. Mainly people from wrestling training I just meet, it's much easier to just send them a message then to remember an email they got and saving it and shit.
That, and it's quite useful for those who you can never reach, I have a good amount of friends who do not realize that a phone ringing means somebody is trying to contact you. So messages are quite useful there.
Other then that? It's fuckin' annoying, I understand the whore's thing you're talkin' about SF, with the thousands of adds. I don't wanna add your band, I don't wanna listen to your music, and I don't wanna see you half topless. Don't half ass it, go full throttle or keep it covered. |

I can see why people use Myspace for logical reasons. To keep in touch with friends that moved away, or graduated high school. There was even stories in magazines that stated people have found long lost relitives on myspace.
But I cant see why people use it for dumb shit. Like adding a billion people they don't even know. Or posting pictures then posting a bulliton saying "OMG, LOL. I POSTED SOME NEW PICS!!! COMMENT PLZ!!!" The same goes for journal entries. I think myspace is okay ONCE IN AWHILE, but when I hear people are addicted to it? Sad... -_- ... *Looks towards DarkGunn* |

I totally agree. But I still must rant. :)
MySpace, Facebook, etc., etc., FUCKING ETC.! Constantly I've been asked by my little emo "friends" at school to join those kinds of sites. They act as though I've never known the bad points of them. Well... at least you all know now what kind of people are attracted to me whenever I'm seen drawing at school. :6
All in all, MySpace can have your good people and your bad(emo) people. I rather not even touch the subject with a 10 foot pole or even stare at it. Though, my hand of hatred towards it has been forced in the past. Some of the goodest friends have a MySpace account though, but merely for laughs. And let me tell you, those laughs never end. Heh heh. Oh MySpace. Heh heh heh eeh. |

I personally like myspace just for keeping in touch with people, especially my aunt. I use facebook more now though, cause you can keep in touch with people your age, and if you dont know their phone number you can ask them through there and so on. I keep my myspace and facebook private though, and I'm not one of those people who adds others I dont know outside of myspace/facebook, and I don't add stalkers either <<; but yeah. That is just my opinion on the both of them. |

I agree S-F, Social networking sites like Myspace, facebook and bebo are waaaay over rated.
Don't get me started on emos...I used to be one *shiver* seriously myspace is good for bands -non emo bands- Like my brothers = Arcane from Northern Ireland. >=D.
Alas unfortunatly I believe all of us have joined it at one time or another >> |

I tried being an Emo-MySpacer, but apparently it doesnt work unless you pretend to hate yourself and demand attention constantly. And they werent too happy about the lack of scaring either.
I even got lectures from Emo Kids about being too happy...
IM TOO HAPPY TO BE EMO
Thats like, emotion-ist. |

The only thing I don't like about myspace is those random shemale porno bots constantly sending me invites.
Oh, and that certain rap artist that won't leave me alone. |

There's absolutely nothing to laugh about. I know all about the kind of crap that often goes on in Livejournal, but it remains that in general, its pages have a far better, more unified design than the unreadable clusterfuck that is the typical Myspace. The only thing Myspace has on it is the ability to play music, which is really a double edged sword. While you can have exposure to all kinds of bands out there, you're also going to be subjected to obnoxious guitar riffs playing at full sound the second just about any damn profile loads. |

Nope.
Myspace, Livejournal, Facebook, what ever your poison is... It'd be great if it was used for what it was supposed to be used for. Unfortunately people just love to whore themselves. That's just my take on it. I've never made one or even stepped into a Myspace profile unless Elmo shoved it down my throat(mercilessly!). And from my experience? I second Boris' statement about the music. My ears scream in agony. =( |
