| I've signed up for closed beta period for several months now and they have yet to send me the acceptance e-mail. When will they finish preparation anyway...? @@ |

Closed beta is generally reserved for industry workers, magazine writers, website reviewers, etc. etc... They get to get the game tested for free and some free advertisement at the same time. Open beta is where the common folk like ourselves get to play.
So unless you own say, a CN related website or game related website, and mentioned wanting to write a review, your chances of getting into closed beta are virtually nil. |

| The only reason I wouldn't try and sign up is the art style. It's SOOO disappointing. :( |

You don't like the artwork? I think it's a nice twist on the characters and general cartoon network universe. The downtown city concept shot looks pretty intricate and intense.
"Heavy" anime-influence...I like :) |

^And hating the artwork..that's one reason why people didn't buy Psychonauts...SHAME ON YOU! To me cel-shading is one of the best art concepts in games today in my opinion...In fact that kind of artwork has given some of our best games...Ultimate Spider-Man, Crackdown, may I go on?!
In fact if more games can be treated as an artform, we'd have a lot less mediocrady...Plus, this game may be one of the few cartoon based video game that don't suck...Here's looking at you DBZ and Naruto and One Piece...You constantly making the same damn thing over and over and over! |

Well, I sort of agree and disagree with you.
If you're a fan of the series (show), most budokai and all tenkaichi games pwn, and burst limit is an explosion of orgasmic awesomeness. I'm personally not a fan of Naruto...at all, except for Rock Lee, but Rise of a Ninja on 360 is actually quite fun. The other Naruto games are all mundane and feel like a Budokai wannabe >.<
Speaking of awesome cel shaded work and my mentioning of concept art, Prince of Persia 4 anyone? |

| I'm tempted to sign my gaming site up for this, I might - it would give us at least some recognition |

| After watching the trailer, I'm a little interested. I think it's weird seeing the little cartoon network characters and their stylized versions at the same time, though. |

| I don't know...Something about the idea behind this game doesn't seem to fit the fruity, fun and superpowered Cartoon Network spirit. IT could be the art, the plot, or because the key characters don't look like themselves. |

^ That, coming from the guy who's big plans include the "great genocide of townsville" and a saturation of Star Wars elements in a PPG cartoon?
Wait, I'm sorry. CLEEEARRRLYYY I must have confused you with someone else. Nevermind, welcome to the forums, Secret. Golly, I guess I need to pay more attention.

You're not alone. I got my beta invite too.
A lot more fun than I thought it was going to be, it needs a lot of refining yet but it definitely feels like a successful mixture of RPG game play and platforming. |
