| Hi guys! Chibi here. I got a question for you guys and gals out there. Do any of you know how to make a laser tag weapon? Could any of you find me tutorials and other things? Also go ahead and post your tales from the laser arenas! Plus I will hopefully make movies and weapons when I"m done with my system! |

You can't just "make" laser tag stuff by MacGuyvering it into existence. You need IR transmitters and receivers as well as printed circuit boards for control. Some skills in electronics are required as well.
The technology is similar to what is found in your average TV controller, but taking the guts out of one to make a laser tag gun is an exercise in futility unless you really know what you're doing.
It seems there are some DIY kits available, though, so there's no need to scavenge for parts:
