| Bang and I were wondering, in Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, how exactly did Darth Vader figure out Luke Skywalker was his son? So....anyone know? |

I think I heard how he found out in the radio drama series, which told a LOT more about the Star Wars universe then the movies did. Can't remember what happened exactly...
But my guess would be that after feeling Luke's presence in Ep VI and partway through V, maybe he found a pattern that matched Padme's force presence? He hadn't seen his kids for so long, it may have taken him a while to recognize their energy... I dunno. XD;; |

I dunno, but mostly Darth Vader should be ashamed of having such a whiney, XP (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!)
As far i know, By the end of Episode 3, Darth Sidious told Darth Vader that Padme is dead and did not mention the fate of their twins, Luke and Leia, He thought they were dead and was only following orders by the emperor.
At the end of New Hope he saw something different about the pilot that destroyed the death star, something familiar. Now there is something odd now that i think about it, maybe its just a funny feeling i have. that's where he hears the name "Skywalker". Which he probably researched and felt it (with the force) that Luke was his son after all.
Actually, just fuck it.. its just confusing cause in some parts of the movie it contradicts the timeline sometimes, even Darth says that's "Impossible" in the movie V.
I'm gonna say that Vader just figured out that for the whinney acts of his stupid son. XP |
