The Powerpuff Girls special just aired, and it was amazing.

We got loads of cameos.

Besides Mojo, Him, Seduca, the Ameoba boys, the Gang Green Gang, and Princess we got a few seconds of:

The Roach guy, The 3 PPG impersonator criminals, the Boogie Man, the giant blowfish from the Dynamo episode, Frankie, and Mac. We even got to see Craig and Lauren in animated form.

The new Flash animation was VERY well done and was the best use of Flash that I have ever seen.

The comedy was great and we even got to see Him and his super creepy motorcycle from the old pre-TV shorts.

Mojo sang some good 80's songs.

The ending was gold too.

The Rowdyruff boys were not in the episode though.

The only downside is that everyone talked rally fast.

On the bright side we FINALLY got to see Ms. Bellum's face

My rating: 10/10.

I have to say the ending was lacking; it was just too rushed. It felt like they should have done more with it, but that's not to say it was bad. And yes, they DID talk too fast. I actually think the episode was purposely sped up to save time, which if I'm right is lame. I mean the speed wasn't impeding the ability to comprehend what was happening, but it did make it hard to savor the fun.

Positive notes, I was laughing hard at some of the lines. Blossom made me fall out of my seat with her Mojo impersonations, and there were just too many moments where everyone was doing something hilarious. Especially loved the world-domination musicals!

But yea, it was different. Instead of the long, subtle humor we're used to the humor was constantly exaggerated and you get this entirely different wacky feel. It felt more like Looney Tunes, which I'm not saying is bad. It was just different. And speaking of different, hows everyone think of the artistic direction? It looks cleaner and smoother, but I like the natural feel of good old South Korean hand-drawing versus Adobe flash animation. Again, not something I'll complain over. If anything, it looked really fresh.

Great episode. I wish they included that in the complete series DVDs. But more than anything I'm really glad McCracken hasn't left Powerpuffs buried in the past. I love this episode!

....

BTW, I noticed they play PPGs on Boomerang now! 10:00 at night on weekdays, but I don't know 'bout the wekends.

what?! It's not included!? Waaah! I thought it was! :(

I totally missed the episode! Aargh, I'm so mad at myself! And I was hoping that it was going to be included in the DVD set so I can watch it then!

Can anyone maybe provide me a link where I can watch it online? Please??

Much like the OP, my only real complaint is the absence of the RowdyRuff Boys.

But then again, the RRB care more about general mayhem than actual conquest.

Yea, it is on the disk. Bang got her copy and she's saying it's there too.

I assume that's why the boxset was released after the episode was aired and not earlier.

So... No opinions on my theory why the RowdyRuffs didn't participate in the race for the Key to the World?

Not really. I personally don't care if the RRBs were in it or not. They aren't the deepest characters in the series.
