The reason for the ban has nothing to do with ideological or moral differences. It's merely part of a blanket ban on any sexual content or offensive words in a user's profile or gamertag.
Their policy does not differentiate between the two following statements if they're found in an XBL user's profile:
1. "I'm like, so gay!"
Or
2. "QUEERS, FAGS AND HOMOS CAN ALL GO DIE IN A FIRE!!111oneoneone"
It doesn't matter how offensive it is. Either way, banned words were used. This constitutes a violation of the Terms of Use which can be found here:
